Homebrew Using Saved Data from Cart on TWilight Menu

So, I am trying to run Pokémon Black on TWiLight Menu. The rom runs fine, but... I want to use my old save file. See, I backed up the save from the cart itself, and put it in the saves folder on my SD card, but it keeps creating new save data when I try running Black. Help?

UPDATE: Turns out, the file name TWLSaveTool created for my save file was different from what TWiLightMenu was looking for when detecting previous save data. I simply changed the name to that of the new save data (which was later deleted) and replaced it, and all was well!

hi, i have the same problem as you. I put the file.sav but twl keeps creating a new save for me, and I can't understand why. Can you explain to me how did you solve it? thank you.

aren't you supposed to put the save in "saves" of the folder with your roms if using bootstrap or if using a flash cart, in the same folder as the roms?

I'll explain, the game always crashed in the same place, so I saved the.sav file and downloaded the game again. but when I start the game it always creates a new .sav file for me.

start twilight menu. all the nds games I downloaded appear, I press the game I am interested in and I start it, but it creates a new save for me.

I thought it was the fault of the corrupt game file. so i deleted the game and downloaded it again, but i saved the .sav file. despite the file.sav is still in the sd card, when I start the game it creates a new sav2 save for me.

You need to change the save number back to 0 in the per-game settings menu.

when the game stops, the characters move but the game doesn't continue, it stays still (TWilightmenu ++). In the emulator with the same save data, the game continues the story.

If not, then in TWLMenu++, press Y to open the per-game settings menu, and change "Save number" to "0".

If the problem is the game crashing, then try changing the other settings, such as CPU Speed and/or card read DMA.
