Hacking Use IOS247 for Backuplauncher 0.3

i got another error trying to install the fix wad per wadinstaller

isn;t that for 0.1. the newer one is read_retry. I thought that installing this cios_fix.wad would replace the newer cios versions.

i got gater 0.1 to work by reinstalling the cios rev5 that came with the waninkoko leak. so now i have 0.3 on cios 247 and 0.1 on 249.

after reinstalling the cios rev5 the 0.1 works but the 0.3 doesn't anymore...


so i'm going to make this from the start again....

1. put the 00000001 folder to the root of sd
2. install the read retry cios thing
3. install the ios247
4. install dvdx ios249
5. trying the 0.3 loader for 247....works!
6. installing 0.1 wad channel....don't works! ( now it hangs off on "launching game screen")

Yes this should work im running my own 1 on ios254 both work no problem.

worked for me also. i installed cIOS fix, DVDx - ios249, and Wiigator_0.3_ios_247 that nickasa supplied. kudos for wiipower for this find. hopefully a new backup channel will be released. thanks again

Ok you have 0.1 working. To get 0.3 working too, you just need to install the 0.3 IOS to IOS247 and the 0.3 loader with the modification to use IOS247 instead of IOS249. Both files needed(cios_installer and launcher) should be in the .rar from nicksasa.

just dont install the read_retry cause it is for 0.3 and not for 0.1 and it installs on ios 249 where you just installed 0.1 so if i have the source for the read_retry fix i could set it to install to 247 so that it installs for 0.3

Yeah worked for me too, but hummm when I was in AnyTD, deleting IOS249, I found out that I have installed IOS254 and IOS255:

does any one knows why and what are they doing there??? and should I delete them??

yes try that but the best is to install none i have 0.1 and 0.3 perfectly running fifa 09 and i have no fix installed

just leave them there if they dont bother you its best to hold them i dont now why they are installed (maybe standard) but just leave them there

I reinstall the ios249....so the read retry should be removed too!? tried 0.1 loader again....but error...

Uninstall IOS249 (best if you use AnyTD)
Wad Manager, cIOS_fix by ppc_gba
Install DVDx IOS249
Install cIOS 247 (the one on this thread)
and run both of the loaders, that works..!!
I don't understand why you're tryin' to install the cIOS for the 0.3, and then reinstall it on 247 ?
