usbloader gx sending back to homebrew channel after trying toload game

hey umm i need help i got super mario bros intalled (usbloader is rev 1272mod) and when ever i try to load a game it shows a black screen and sends me back to homebrew channel

im sry the only time i can plug my sd card into a pc is when my parts come in the laptop i am using is chromebook os so ive had to use file converters and alot of time hehe but ill just spend my time to type it out hope it helps

Also what drive are you using? A USB flash drive or an external hdd?

im using a usb drive un named bc my hdd drive broke and my wii or laptop wont reconize it and im useing usb 3.0 and it works better than my old one now with this one usbloader gx and wii flow can see the games but here the images

No custom IOS in Slot 249 installed,my Friend.
No USB Game Loading..

tbh ive tried to do that many times but when i try to install it it always comes up as failed or net_gethostbynamefailed -6 and idk a way around it at all ive tried reinstalling it and everything

Then please use your sysCheck.csv on Modmii.

Install it and then Drag an Drop the sysCheck.csv onto yourModMii Shortcut on the Dekstop.
It shows your Softmod´s missing Files,downloads then the Files,update your Softmod
and opens a Browserwindow with Instructions how to proceed.
Read carefully and in Calm and Peace please.

if you want to use the d2x cIOS installer of modmii, redownload it from wii.guide or oscwii.org (link), it was very recently updated to solve the issue you described

Or if this is too confusing for you, you can download (the cIOS wad files) them manually with NUS Downloader on PC IIRC, and put the 3 files on the usb, then install them offline with the cIOS installer on your Wii.

And I think that is way more complicated than downloading an updated d2x cios installer and running on a wii with wifi. Of course modmii is always the best option in my opinion but I am biased.

Edit: also you'd have to download updated versions of nus downloader with the alternate nus endpoint for your suggestion to work as well

I will also point out that I recently softmodded a new wii and thought I could get away with a USB flash drive, but it lead to many black screens as you described. Eventually files started getting corrupted and I simply had to buy a new external hard drive. I'd recommend you get one before trying to do any further modding.

There was a server side issue that was just fixed, the newer\fixed d2x cios installer wasn't working, but it is now

ok it downloaded the ios files but when i try to load a game it freezes up with black screen and in the settings i set to 249 bc somewhere i heard its the game ios


Edit: what i mean is is when i try to load the game it shows a black screen and the wii remote turns off

Okay, did you follow the cIOS guide above and installed the 249,250,251 cIOS successfully? If so, the black screen is most likely because of the usb flash drive, i suggest formatting as WBFS with WiiBackupmanager and test again.
Or use an external HDD which is what i recommend instead.
