Hacking USB not working anymore

Basically i got a hard drive which I formatted and put games on, they worked perfectly but I then updated my wii to 4.2 the safe way using one of the guides on GBAtemp and ever since then none of my Hard Drives or USB Stick work on any USB loader. As soon as I plug it, the hard drive/USB turn on and seems like it works but whenever i go on any USB loader the 30 sec countdown comes up and dosen't seem to recognize my HD. Any solution to this problem?

It seems like you lack an important ios,
When I had my wii softmodded it wouldn't do any usb loading but when I followed zxzero's guide
I could and it all seemed to work.

Which ones, the one from the Update or the modding?

use the modding part, the update part is to install system 4.2

i know i sound stupid, but should i do everything again? Would it be ok for me to install things on top of each other

ok, i followed the Modifying part again, and it seems like the Hard Drive still dosen't work... any other solution???

Make sure that you have your HDD connected to USB Port 1 on the Wii. (If you are looking directly at the back of the Wii, this is the one on the Right). Powered on before you start your loader.

Did that, still dosen't work, well i guess im gonna have to restore my 4.0E NAND backup
