I just got back from buying a Maxtor One Touch 4 160 GBhdd for my Wii. I started out by formatting it to WBFS with the program on my pc and added an iso to it. I tried it with a couple of loaders and none of them worked. I reformatted it to Fat32 after that to see if the loaders can pick it up and format it from my Wii but still no luck. Is the hdd not compatible at all or am I missing something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried connecting your hard drive while the Wii's powered (red light, not stand by), i noticed with my USB sticks and one of my hard drives that if I powered on from Connect 24 standby the drive would not detect, but if i powered in from the red "off" light it would.... worth a shot

Ditto. I've tried 7 different sticks, and a Seagate portable drive that is known to work (can't remember the name because I returned it). Every single one I got error -1. I'm at a complete and total loss.
