He means, I think, auto-update at startup like HomeBrew Browser : the HBB conects to www.codemii.com at startup and lokks at a new release.
It downloads the new release, uncompress and go back to HomeBrew Channel and you have a new version installed so

Would be interesting in fact for USB Loader

Well, if we're going to have internet update, we should have internet theme downloading too!

But that's a long ways off.

OMG! shoot me xD
Yes, like homebrew browser or preloader that connects to internet and search for updates, then press A to update xD
There is already a loader with auto-update, it´s in the wiki.

WiiShizzza, do you have plans for version based on 1.5? Your loader is great =)

The Ultimate Loader is totally in Hungyip84s Hands. You got to wait for him.
If He's in the mood, be sure we'll get the Ultimate Loader based on 1.5 tonight.

//EDIT:
I think I remember Hungy saying something about an config screen for the loader.
So there definitely could be an auto-update feature implemented.
Hope DJTaz can host our loader on his server. So that would be no big thing.
Someone already posted code for an Update Mode.

is there a setting, or is it possible, when exiting a game that it would return to the usb loader selection screen? rather than the main wii menu.

I have given to hungyip the source code of my version with internet-update ... he will implement this feature in the next release based on 1.5 i think...

Thank you very much!

Not to be rude or anything of the sort, but why would you want this? Isn't the point of the loader to run your Games as they would run from the Disc itself?

It is possible, if you use preloader and set it to load a homebrew file (usb loader in this case) instead of the system menu at startup.
However, that means to get back to the system menu, you need to turn off the wii and hold down the reset button when you turn it back on to get to preloader's menu.

What would be really cool is if there was an option to load the system menu reguardless of preloader's settings.

EDIT: Not sure if this works when exiting from the home menu in a game...

Have also read, long page ago

Wait & see

Impossible, it's hard-coded in the game I think...

this is working for me now but unfortunately 98% of the skins on my site will not work in wide screen mode. already tried to re size my skins and use them but they either don't show up or don't line up correctly. damn shame.

Yeah its working great for me, just waiting on some widescreen backgrounds with the new boxart sizes

Has that changed again? What's the new size (for widescreen) ?

130x225 is the boxart size for widescreen

I edited WiiShizza's latest 16:9 to use with 130x225 covers here > http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=147...t&p=1914973

@HUELEN10

quote "Not to be rude or anything of the sort, but why would you want this? Isn't the point of the loader to run your Games as they would run from the Disc itself?"

reason: when the kids have finished playing a game they can then straight away choose another game to play

@grante

many thanks that sounds like a possible solution, as the main reason for the wii at our house is to play games, and as they will all be on the usb hard drive it seems logical to boot straight to it

@OuahOuah

yes i seem to remember reading that before, whats your opinion on grante suggestion?
