Calm down guys! Maybe if you (us) stop the requests then hungyip can have time to learn to use libwiigui and make awesome GUIs like this
smile.gif
.

I'll see if I find some docs to see if I can do something to help.

i have trouble with gamecovers for the following games:
Call of Duty 3
Resident Evil 4 Wii Ed.
The Simpsons Game
Tiger Woods PGA 09
Smackdown! Vs. RAW 09
TMNT

the loader says: "Downloading cover....done" but doesn't show the game cover. It displays the cover from the previous selected game.
if i scroll away and select the game again it says again "Downloading cover... done" but shows the cover of the previous selected game...
so I downloaded the cover manually and put in on the sd-card. and guess what? it says: "downloading cover...done" and shows the cover of the previously selecet game....
Also if i select Tiger Woods PGA 09 the loader crashes and i am back in the HBC.
Any ideas?
I tried widescreen and normal screen, with different versions.

hey guys do us a favor and try this on your widescreen display using a loader with wide screen http://bluetain.com/dropspace/resize3.php?size=130x225 (change name to gameid that you have) and measure the box to see if its perfect square.

Also for anyone making backgrounds for widescreen try starting with your image at 790x480 before you resize to 640x480. I know the math isn't right but antiaverage pointed out to me that tv pixels are rectangular and pc are square, and thats the ratio we used to get the box art to show perfect square on the TV

The box art aspect ratio currently sucks. On regular 4:3 TVs they look almost like PSP games. I don't know whose idea it was to use 160x225 in the first place.

make sure they are acctually 160x225 on your card, if you used any v7 then all your images are probably resized.

On my 40inch HDTV that square is measuring 15.1cm Hieght 15.3cm Width (measured from inside border to inside border), considering the TV size it looks PERFECTLY square to look at. Also the 130x225 on 16:9 looks much closer to the real dimensions on a wii baxart cover then the 120x125 images do, Ive always found 120x225 to look a little to narrow.

I say bring on the 130x225 cover size for 16:9

i recently downloaded the channel of the ultimate usb loader v7.1 from the wiki, but when i run it, it takes me straight to the hbc? anyone know why? the boot.dol works just fine, but id rather have the channel. the channel shows, but it gives me an error which i cant read due to a bad tv, and im taken into the hbc?

you NEED to use a forwarder channel, and have the usbloader dol in the SD card, this dol wont work as an embedded channel

I just looked and found one background that I saved to my pc that supported 3d covers but it looks really bad. Why was this 3d boxart taken out?
when you dont like it why u downloading it?

CheatingSoi said:
Wait, was the sideways boxart abandoned? Why is the box for the images flat. I downloaded all of the converted boxart yesterday for it.
can you read???? the converted boxart you have downloaded was ONLY FOR THIS Specific theme (to read and download here )

...exclusiv for this theme i have convert all covers...
...Download COVER PACK FOR MY THEME:....

and also on http://usob.cjb.net/ you can read "By NeoRame (requires cover pack click here!)"

QUOTE(CheatingSoi @ Apr 17 2009, 06:55 AM) Thanks but I guess there are none with windscreen support
ahaaa? and was it this ?

NeoRame, any chance for 3D covers for Crash of the Titans, Pirates of the Caribbean and Zack & Wiki (PAL)? Thanks in advance

this images are not in the pack???? they must. possibly you must rename the png to your game id...

I can't download cover images on 1.7

I click download, it initializes the network, and then nothing happens and I can't try re downloading. Do I need to make a directory somewhere for them? If so, what is it called and where on my sd card do I put it?

Ok, after trying evvil's 130x225 cover I really think 130x225 is the PERFECT size for covers in 16:9

here is an ALTERED 16:9 bg.png so you can try yourself, just need 1 coord changed
smile.gif
and make a cover 130x225 to try it

2i115w.png

Code:
console_coords=116,40,404,150
console_color=8,15
covers_coords=255,210
entry_lines = 3

Sorry, that was a typo.

The widescreen image path option is wimages_path

hungyip I think you will find it is wimage_path... Maybe an error in your coding ?

it crashes on any button with wimages_path, or if you have no string in the config
