does anyone have any problems launching MadWorld PAL using the [email protected] ?
I get black bars on top and bottom (like watching a bluray movie on 16:9 TV) ,either on "game default" or "patch game" video setting...

Hi, I'm done with automatic resizing of covers for 16:9. It's compiled from source 6.7mod1 and is using FreeImage to resize.

As usual, grab it here

Try it out pls!

works a treat btw.. just tried it now..

Only slight problem measurement of resized image are ever so slightly out height wise, to fit snug like...

doing them @ 120 x 220 when it should be 120 x 225

Any chance of a quick fix.. ?

I am getting a corrupted archive. Is anyhow possible you can reup it or someone else uploaded on a different server. TY. And if we can incorporate a 16:9 on\off option in config it would help people with 3:4 TVs.

try download it again. It should work.
It will come in next rls.

Hm. When I had them 120x225 it were to high. So I changed to 220, but I´ll try 225 again to see what happens.

could be to do with the background and your config settings..

Here try this...

bg216x9.png

slightly more accurate DVD cover type for 16x9 (slight adjustment in box..)

set config to;

covers_coords=478,110

cover fits spot on... @ 120x225 (correct 16:9 setting)

Just tested V7beta2 and noticed two bugs:
- Cursor in the settings isn't shown for all games
- Some strange default settings for games (like language japanese or Patch game for different games which settings I never touched)

Otherwise it works great!

I'm running v6.7 and it seems as though "titles.txt" isn't loaded from the boot.dol directory as stated in the changelist for this version. The "config.txt" seems to work fine, just the "titles.txt" that's wrong. Great loader anyway

Hey, I'm using a relatively old version of this loader (1.1 MOD V4 PAL Fix - The USB Loader for the Wii. Version 4 with the PAL fix). The reason I haven't updated is because all of the games work great (excluding Metroid Prime and de Blob which I just pop any Wii disc in for).

However my HDD seems to go to sleep mid game if I pause the game and leave it for a minute, or idle in the same place on a game (basically it's not loading any data so it sleeps). I've gone into the configuration for my drive and turned off Power Saving but it still happens. I was wondering if this has been fixed in later versions of the loader or if it has yet to be fixed. If it hasn't been fixed I would imagine all that needs to be done is the loader code modified to ask for data every 5 seconds or so regardless of whether it needs or not so as to keep the HDD awake.

I'm having the same issue as well, the config.txt works great but the title.txt isn't working at all.

If you have the boot.dol in "SD:/apps/usbloader/", then the "titles.txt" work fine. This is the folder I have it in anyway due to the forwarder I use.

Correction: After deleting my old settings.cfg, the default values are ok. But the saving of settings is buggy. I changed the settings for one game, and all other games's settings where changed too.

Cover downloading works.

One suggestion: Make the path of the titles.txt configurable in the config.txt so the confusion about it can end

I think that's the path I currently have but when I get home I'll confirm that, other issue could be the setup of the file itself as I just copied a list off a site so the GameID's could be wrong

That's normal for the PAL Version, I always had this "Problem", just look at youtube, there are a lot comparation videos of the NTSC and PAL Version.

has anyone here ran into the problem of not being able to write to the last 20 gigs of your drive?

You have opened your own thread, so why also post the same question into this thread? Please, we told you all a thousand times: try to keep this thread clean!

I wondered, whether I forget to add a path or something into the config, but if I'm not the only one, it seems to be still a problem with the V7beta2.

Ok i am using v7 beta 2, all is well accept when i tried to download a cover it got stuck in a loop, tells me download complete then downloading and keeps looping until i resert the wii.

any thoughts?

here is my config.txt

Code:
# USBLoader config
images_path = SD:/apps/usbloader/images/
background = bg.png
covers = 1
download = 1
layout = ultimate2
simple = 0
console_color = 11,4
home = reboot
video = system
language = english
savesettings = 1
parentalcontrol = 0
downloadinstall = 0
hidesettingmenu = 0

Cheers

Thanks for everything! Really the best Loader Version

Hope also the next loader Update will have both 4:3 and 16:9 Options

Today I will focus in bug fixing and add widescreen support. I am thinking about having widescreen image to have an exta W after the picture name.

For example, mario kart wii image would become RMCE01W.png

When the user switch to widescreen mode, the loader could look at the correct image =)

Wow! Just came back and 20 more pages.... Give me some min to get everything....
Iassume V7beta2 is the last version, so I put it on the first post.

There's no source available for v7beta2, right ?

Also I saw that autoresize feature someone posted.... GREAT!!!

So waiting for Hungyip to release the source with build in widescreen support.

AWSOME, everybody! REALLY!

so i followed the thread here and everything is running great for the app but there are some non coding things that bug me:

1. the download places...

why not using http://skydrive.live.com/ its free simple and also used by emulator designs

2. readme

just a short readme with the credits the howto and the requirements (wii version number etc..)
also a short FAQ to keep this thread smaller

3. default config + text

why not bring a default config.txt and titles.txt with the release its easier for people to edit the options

4. file names
each version should have a really dead simple filename uusbloader6v71.rar like that with a seperate source6v71.rar so its easier to download

5. dir structure
in the rar or zip file include the directory structure /app/usbloader/boot.dol

i really like to help with this.. any questions do not hasitate to ask
