OMF, yet another loader with a "3d" boxart, meaning all new images all over again

Does anyone else agree, that this is just NuTz to say the least ?

Why cant we get a SOLID code base (with everything, like 16x9 for example)

Maybe a config option for "Themes"

Then, everyone can go wild ... this thread (while awesome work is being done)_ is just silly.

So many different varieties... Every time I tell myself that I won't bother updating the next day because there's not going to be any reason to, but then some other cool feature comes out and I'm changing my boot.dol and tweaking my config settings. Haha.

And I don't know if this has been brought up, but in the V7beta3 after I save my settings in the options menu the cursor to select the settings disappears even though you can still move up and down and alter the settings. Using the - button to delete the settings makes the cursor come back, but I just wanted to bring this to attention (but chances are someone else already did and I didn't see it).

Hey, there's no reason we can't beta test in style

Many of the people in this thread don't have the ability/time to modify the code, so we're doing what we can to help.

My only pet peeve is people quoting and not trimming at least the images (unless they are directly relevant to what you are saying).

Help. I broke it and I don't know what I did.
Yesterday I tried UltimateV6.7 (1.4) didn't work (Code Dump) but (1.1) did.
Today I see there is a new version that is only based on the (1.4) version. It didn't work (Code Dump) so I installed the IOS36-64-v1042.wad cause I thought that is what was needed. Didn't help still (Code Dump). Now UltimateV6.7 (1.1) doesn't work either.
What stupid move did I do and how can I fix it?

I think that there could be a single language.txt file with all strings. They could be loaded on the start of the program and put all of them into an array, and that array be used on the rest of the program.
This way would be very easy to anyone translate any string used and share in this forum...

The 3d box covers are nice, but wouldn't it be easier to code something to 'skew' the 2d boxart to fit inside the 3d box, it would save having to continually resize new boxart.

What system menu version are you on? If you're on 3.2 then installing that version of IOS36 shouldn't really have to do with anything as far as I know. Are you running the loader through a forwarder channel or directly through the HBC?

The 3d box covers use the exact same image as the other ones. The only resizing that is needed is if you are using widescreen (since everything gets stretched). The image is still completely rectangular 2d.

EDIT: At second glance, it looks like NeoRame's are changed...my mistake.

You don't have to install the IOS36-64-v1042.wad. It's already inside your wii. What you need is cIOS36rev10 to make loaders baesd on 1.4 worked.

So this 3D update is all done by modifying the config.txd? I tried it but it only changes the box color to blue. Can someone send me the correct config file?

I really like the 3D boxart. It looks awesome! So much better then the regular pic. I don't like the background at all tho. Too plain looking and I just dont like the colours. Just not my taste thats all. I think the boxart would look good on the 'default' and 'new background' on page 1.

anything 1.4 will not work on my system. the loader will freeze up and i cant scroll, i cant do anything, i have to manually power off the wii, and then 1 times out of 4 it will freeze on the system menu with a high pitch beeping noise, this doesnt appear to happen on the 1.1 loader, but there is no 1.1 loader in the newest v3 beta. so for me, 1.4 doesnt want to work on any loader.

Happened to me when I removed the SD card then switched to another game on the menu...
