Thanks for your help. I used uNeek and Sneek when I was using original Wii. Didn't know it was possible to use it with USB Loader GX. Could you please give further explanation on how to use it with the loader, or at least a link where I can read how to configure it? I've been googleing it, but I've been unable to find anything.

Thanks again!!
Personally I don't use emuNand feature on vWii, still have enough space in my internal memory, so will try to help you with from my little experience.
First you need GX 1253, under features go to extract NAND, it will copy your NAND content to your storage device, then you just install a wad like a whatever channel, except this time the channel will be stored in your USB/SD device.

Yes you can.
I'm using it as my main way to lad VC/WW right now.

-Create a dump of your NAND with USBLOADER GX.
-Install all the wads you want with showmiiwads on your PC.
-Get a copy of neek2o beta 9.6 (I don't know if I can help you with that... maybe ask Cyan. If not. And I'm free to share it I'll be happy to)
-Select games/channels/whatever you want to run with neek and in settings enter "emunand type: neek" or something like that.
-Profit!

How do you get your copy of beta 96 for vWii? I believe it is a private beta.
Don't break other people's trust with you or you will never see future betas.

And thats why I said that if I'm "allowed" to share it I will. If not, well tough luck then.

Thanks again!! Do you know if it is possible to use an NTSC emulated nand with neek2o on a PAL vWii?
No problem.
I assume you're looking to emulate the nand on a PAL system, am I right? I guess it could work. But can I ask why would you want that? Games are region free with GX.

There are some CV titles that only work when emulated on their specific nand region.

I've been testing neek on USB Loader GX, and I'm failing miserably!!

My steps:
1. I downloaded the neek2o beta and extracted the zip file into my sd card.
2. I extracted my Wii U nand using USB Loader GX into USB/NAND2
3. I installed Ogre Battle 64 PAL on that nand, using USB Loader GX.
4. I configure Ogre Battle 64 PAL like this:
Nand Emulation: neek

When booting the game I only get a black screen! :(

EDIT:
No, it works flawlessly!!! Problem was that it takes some time to load!!!
Thanks a lot for all your help!

Not directly related to ULGX, but I can't play my xenoblade disc if I launch it from the wii system menu. It gives me an error (can't remember which one, it shows up immediately after "reading disc"). Other games work fine, included other dual-layer games.

Strange thing is that the disc works just fine if I launch the game from ULGX (not the backup, the disc itself!). Pretty weird.

Exactly, the one in this post to be more precise: link removed

so it is the same guy who made Nintendont being shut down by google code because:

he lured the devs to use a private beta of audio patches which contain copyrighted code from Tueidj.
Luckily the devs corrected the mistakes and re-launch the project as Nintendon-t else you all will miss Nintendont as it is today

people these days just want their own fun and show no respect to dev.

Well, be that as it may. I didn't provide any links, nor sent any files to anyone.
The guy just asked me if that was the software and I replied to help him out.
That's not the way I got it by the way...

the beta of neek2o with vWii support are not publicly released nor officially supported.
providing links to these versions is not a good idea.

Do you recommend any other cios?
Usually, VC or Wiiware with issues using d2x v8+ are fixed by using rev17 (base38) or rev19 base 38 or 57.
if it's a game using USB port (microphone for example), base 58 could be required.
if you just want to play it (and not help with the compat list), you can use Neek2o feature.

I don't remember who said "some game require their own NAND region", but I'll answer here too.
after doing a NAND dump, launch neek without autoboot to go to its system menu, then press 2 on wiimote to go to hidden settings and enable region free.
it will help with a lot of channel compatibility.
But there might be channels which really require a correct region (region free patch is not enough).
on Wii, it's easy to create a NAND for a specific region using modmii NAND creation.
on vWii, it's not possible yet?

Cyan, I have a weird behaviour to report:
That's really strange, indeed.
Now I know it has something to do with the drive itself (either the cache, or the emuNAND dump (but it's not mounting and parsing the NAND, it's getting a list of folders using the internal SD/USB file explorer so speed the load time).
The cached banners should speed the loading up, not slow it down...
Too bad you couldn't reproduce the slow loading time :(
I don't like when it fixes itself like this.

EDIT:
No, it works flawlessly!!!
But I like when it fixed itself like this ! ;)

Cyan, I have a weird behaviour to report:

I have a LOT of channels on my Emunand, exactly 783.

I was experiencing a really long load before games, with the disc slot light flashing for around 50 seconds for every VC game before it loaded. Also, Castlevania Rondo of Blood was having issues with the cutscenes.

I thought it was the emunand size, so I made a smaller one with a single VC game and it still took a lot to load.

Then I tried a different version, r123something, i believe, and it loaded games instantly. I then made a clean install of 1251 and it loaded everything instantly.

I thought it could be because of all the banners and images. So I restored my usbloaderGX install and changed the covers and banner cache folders names to test.

Everything loaded instantly. Now I have the very same USBLGX install I had before, with all the same settings and files, loading the very same huge emunand channels with almost no delay.

I have absolutely no idea what the problem could be.
I'm sorry but could you explain better for me what you did to get it sped up? Is it that you deleted the settings and covers and installed them again?

Cyan or USERS in general.
Is it "normal" for VC (specifically N64 titles in case it matters) to display in 16:9 instead of in the original ratio (4:3)? SPECIALLY on vWii (Since the whole thing messing with the HBC ratio was that Nintendo pushed an update to fix VC titles AR IIRC...)
I honestly can't remember if it was always that way or not...
I'm running them off an emuNAND using neek2o.
Could any guy with any N64 titles installed on their real nand confirm if that's also the case?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it is normal. But you can fix this.

Enter the Global Settings in USB Loader GX and then select "Features". Scroll down and then press on WiiU Widescreen. This changes your screen ratio to 4:3 or 16:9 alternatively. And then launch your emunand games using the neek option from USB Loader GX.

This feature would be very nice if it could be applied specifically in the config menu of each VC and Wiiware game. But just do as I told you and you'll be able to play your N64 games in a 4:3 screen ratio.

Best regards!
