I released 1229, it has two new features:

- use the new booting method for nintendont 1.98+, it doesn't write nincfg.bin file anymore so it should also fix the random crash (users thought it was the case, so let's see).
- update nintendont directly from the loader (in the features menu). It's a quick added feature. There's no check on current version/new releases. just click and it download the latest loader.dol to your nintendont folder.

And for users who misses 1228, it has Private server option to auto-patch games to connect to Wiimmfi or Altwfc (DNS edit require for altwfc).

Cyan is there a way you can add a pop-up that appears when alt-wfc is selected that tells users to change their primary and secondary DNS server to 75.127.5.215 ?

No, because it will still appear even if the user already did it.
And because it's not a "Altwfc" option, it's a "NoSSL" option which works with any servers. it's just that nobody hosted another server yet.
I'll see if I can add a altwfc option to prevent users from editing the dns, but I don't know if it's possible based on the way altwfc server is working.

Unless you can come up with a code that writes the DNS server address to the current configuration

I could see it as select nossl a menu pops up with a servers name but internally it's writing that servers DNS IP to the currently selected connections DNS settings

Or so you don't have to update the code each time a new server comes up or a server shuts down set it to read txt files from a NOSSL folder that contain the DNS ip's

Hi, ive been using Usb loader Gx on my wii and it works perfect but when i use it on my wiiu i cant select the paths correctly, all of them say usb8 (incluiding covers) and if i try to change it, it just display an error.
I just want to play gamecube games from here using nintendont but i cant select the path, could someone help me? I want to run them from a SD card

Yup, now it works... the updated version can download the cheats normally, and then convert them to gct. I think that the problem before (not seeing the gct files) was caused by the code manager probably exporting the gct files with those asterisks.. (don't know why they worked for Acidflare though, since I can't make the code manager export any differently...) ..but that's irrelevant now, since I can edit the txt files myself and let the USB loader create the gct files out of them.

Rizzorules:
When the paths are all displaying USB8, it's because it didn't find any USB partition to mount.
It's trying to mount up to 8 partition, and stop there, memorizing the last partition it tested (it should usually stop at USB1 or USB2 when the drive is correctly detected).

Do you have a Y-cable to power up your drive?
Also, note that on WiiU, the ports are reversed : Port0 is now at the top, and Port1 at the bottom.

The reason as to why my gct files work from code manager with usb loader gx and why you were having issues where I wasn't
...
wut?
I will reply back after updating the loader and trying the things.

it still can't see the gct generated by the code manager ..I have to generate them from the loader

That's odd I've never had an issue with it? How are you putting the gct files on the drive? I once tried forcing code manager to write the gct files to my USB drive they didn't work so I saved them to my PC then transferred them to my USB drive and they worked

Thanks Cyan! r1229 works for me!

planing for near revisions (in no particular order):
- Add RealNAND Wad installer back (it was removed before 3.0 release)

If this feature returns. Can you add an option to install the wads directly on SD(Real NAND)?

on SD? you mean in the private folder? in .bin format?

JoostinOnline has a tool to extract these bin to Wad.
I guess it can be added to loaders to add/move games from/to SDmenu/EmuNAND/Wad.
I don't know if it can be added to USBLoaderGX with my current knowledge, I'll have to learn things again :p

I thought you will ask about having an auto-DM(L) installation.
That's what most users expected the loader to do with the wad manager, but I still don't plan to add this feature in near revisions.

Cyan can you put a dialog box for when loading a game and updating a gamer card, with it doing it in the background it seems like the game is taking a long time to load but really it's updating the gamer card

Just updated usbloadergx but it randomly does not detect my wii games. I'm also trying to update nintendont but it keeps saying cannot connect to server

Edit: For some reason, it refuses to detect mario kart. It works on dolphin and I have the correct folder labelling.

what you mean "updating a gamer card" ?
I'm sorry, but there have been a lot of times where I don't understand what you are saying.

Strai : Wii games are not detected, or the drive ?
which format is your partition?
Are you using the banner layout? are games listed in other layout?

About "can't connect to server", is your network initiated?
(go to Homebrew browser and click on the internet logo, or download a cover to be sure)
Maybe it's not initiating the network before downloading files, I'll add a check.
Or maybe you edited your DNS in the Wii settings to add private server ? be sure that downloading other files are working fine.

I have fat32 flash drive with wbfs format games but nevermind that, even cfg loader doesn't detect mario kart. I will try it again later

My bad, I didnt know you had to initiate a connection before.

Thanks cyan

ah, if it's fixed by initializing the network it's a good news :)
I'll just add a check before downloading files to init it if not available.
Thanks.
