I accidentally erased usb loader GX from my SD card and now i cant get it to display the GC games, how do i do that? i changed the GC path to USB1:/games and nothing, i was able to make it display the game yesterday but i cant remember how.

So any questions at once.
I'll try to answer everyone's question. I'll edit this post little by little.

Is it possible to show only Wiiware/ VC games on nand but not other channels like the Mii channel?
Yes. Look at the first post, where there's a changelog for 3.0 -> 1226
You will find "advanced filtering" and a link to tutorial.

How do i make usb loader GX pick a different txt file to read? i accidentally downloaded a newer one and it has so many codes they cannot be displayed.
It can't be displayed, or it's veryyyyyy long (like 5minutes of freeze? yes, 3-5 minutes to load Monster hunter cheat code txt)
If it really can't be displayed, edit your .txt manually to remove unwanted codes, or go to geckocodes.org and select only the codes you want and generate the txt/gct to place on your SD.

Cyan, again I only mentioned the forwarder for legality reasons. In one of my previous posts I mentioned N64 games and some of the ones I have aren't in the shop channel so I didn't want to mention the names for that reason.
If you tell me it's a "forwarder", I think it is a forwarder, and I don't see why it wouldn't work.
If you told me it was a N64 games, I understand your issue!
Most N64 games doesn't work with EmuNAND in USBLoaderGX. It requires a different cIOS (rev19) or Neek2o (not in USBLoaderGX yet).
I don't care if your game is injected or not. If you don't report the things correctly, I can't understand the issue and can't help.

Skanob:
I don't know why it still doesn't work.
Did you try to reset the settings? (from inside the loader>settings>reset, or by deleting all the .cfg and .bin files manually).
better, rename your current usbloader_gx folder, and create a new clean folder with only the boot.dol / meta.xml / icon.png

kwanbis:
That's good. You did all the steps correctly.
and everything should work fine :)

If you format/change the partition format, you need to reset it in the loader.
Settings > hdd settings > Partition (click on the line to force a re-check of the partition and correctly store the format).

Duncan Idaho:
Be sure you enabled the source (Wii, Gamecube, channel etc.) you want to see in the 4th icon in the menu.

Hmm i could try to edit the one that it's being read, i have two FE10 text files (one that has a code that Goldie removed from the db) i changed the name of the file thats being read to Fire Emblem 10 RFEE1 and the other that had only some old codes i use to Fire Emblem 10 Radiant dawn RFEE01 to see if it would read the other.

EDIT: Nope dint work,the message that it's displaying is <html class>"no-js ie6 oldie" lang="en-US-"> <![endif]---> <!--[if it IE 7]>

Ok figured what the problem is, i have three fire emblem files, RFEE01, Fire emblem RFEE01 and Fire emblem radiant dawn RFEE01, the first became corrupted and took priority on the loader list than the other two.

I am including the file so you can give it a look, seems geckocodes.org cut my connection on that one.

Be sure you enabled the source (Wii, Gamecube, channel etc.) you want to see in the 4th icon in the menu.

Ah, so thats what i was missing! Thanks

If you have issue with Ocarina (<![endif]---> <!--[if it IE 7]>, etc.) that's because you didn't use the latest release.
use r1226 and redownload the cheats.

Could you try with an old version of the loader (for example r1218) now that you have the .txt and .gct generated correctly with r1226?
it's maybe caused by a change I did recently.

It's not a problem that pops in your loader only, it also pops up on Uloader and wiiflow.

But i can try.

that's strange then.
Are you sure it's the same codes as before? maybe it has been updated and they are slightly different.

Maybe some codes are conflicting with each others.
Try to enable only one by one to find the problem.

If you format/change the partition format, you need to reset it in the loader.

Settings > hdd settings > Partition (click on the line to force a re-check of the partition and correctly store the format).
It is not entirely clear where do I need click to force the re-check.

If you mean the first option, Game/Install Partition, it says NTFS (3.83GB), and I clicked there and nothing happens.

I discovered half of the issue, but it's only half of it, the code that is causing problems seems to be the enable the 300 on storage, then the problem that pops up is that none of the other codes work.

But it's odd because it has been the same .gct i have been using for several years, unless somehow glfavor pulled a switch with the values and made it so they only work in 4:3 mode and not 16:9

yes, that's the "Game/Install Partition" option I talked about.
Clicking on it force the loader to check the HDD partitions again.

If it doesn't work, are you sure you used the same folder's name as before?
/Game title [GameID]/GameID.wbfs
/GameID/GameID.wbfs doesn't work.

On the FAT32 partition, USB Loader GX would read any game inside the WBFS partition. So I had it like this:

USB:/WBFS/game name_[GAMEID]

But for some reason it didn't work on the NTFS partition.

So I went ahead and ripped one of the games from the USB Loader GX, and the format is like this:

USB:/wbfs/PARTY PACK for REVOLUTION [RHAE01]/RHAE01.wbfs

So, I was wondering if that is the problem. Shouldn't it read also the format used on FAT32?

FAT32 and NTFS works the same way, with the same paths.

The path seems fine (just change wbfs to lowercase, I don't remember if it matter).
And it WORKED!

Strangely, on FAT32 I created the WBFS as uppercase, and it worked, but for some reason on NTFS it did not.

I have now

USB:/wbfs/PARTY PACK for REVOLUTION [RHAE01]/RHAE01.wbfs

and

USB:/wbfs/Wii Sports_[RSPE01].wbfs

and it reads both just fine.

Thanks so much for a wonderful loader and for helping me out.

Ok solved the problem, i had to dump my game instead of my friends, fire emblem 10 can be quite picky with it's addresses.

Cyan one question the channel .wad can it be installed to the NAND? I dont have an emu nand set up, not sure how to do so either.

Lowercase letters don't didn't originally work (Guess I must've been wrong on that one), and the the other two codes should be swapped, since the codes are read by the code handler in that order, and the first one depends on the second one.

I have tried everything that I could think of. Restarted to fresh. Re-downloaded USBLGX. Reset to default settings. Deleted all previous files. Start off fresh. Used SD for the app. Still the same.

Info to add:
I'm using the official 5.1 UNEO Forwarder.
Latest GX Revision.
I've put all my details on my sig.

I am literally running out of ideas.. If CFG Loader can load it, that means its not a bad dump.. And only specific games wouldn't load. Metroid Trilogy, Prime 3, Mario Party 9, SSBB, Tatsunoko VS Capcom are some.

Cyan, badly need some help..

Separate question: How safe is it for me to restore my BootMii (installed as an IOS) nand backup and start off fresh from the very beginning?

there's no need to restore a NAND backup.
The Wii doesn't rely on installed files (there's no backgroup process, dependent to other process etc.)
The USBLoaderGX depend on ONE SINGLE IOS : cIOS 249.
All the other files you have on your wii is not used (except of course the Wii settings like video mode, wiimote synch, network).
Restoring a backup will have no more effect than installing a new different cIOS in slot 249.

I don't know how to help you.
You will have to test different things yourself (testing the hardware, testing the software, etc.).
Try your HDD with a different Wii to see if the issue is your Wii or the HDD.
Try a different HDD on your Wii to be sure the issue is your Wii, and not the combo Wii-HDD.
Try a different partition format (put your games on the FAT32 partition, instead of the second one)
Try with d2x v8 or v10-alt
Try with revision 21010 instead of 65535
Try with launching the loader from HBC instead of the forwarder
Try with an old version of the loader
etc.

each test you will do will help you to remove possible issue and you will narrow the problem.

The problem is that i was using a copy that had the memory addresses different than the ones that the codes has.

Random request: Could you add a button that adds the NoSSL patch to the Ocarina text code list? Kinda annoying having to download the codes, go to a PC and add the NoSSL code and copy the file back.
