Hacking USB Loader GX

so many replies to this thread (713 pages currently) so forgive me if this has been answered already but...

Does usb loader gx have any kind of utility to download settings that each game needs? Or can you download the game settings from somewhere else?
For example: The Conduit needs 002 fix set to ON.

Downloading game settings would be such a nice feature !
These settings should be for everyone the same right?

As was pointed out previously, this will not happen because everyone has things set up differently on their systems. People use different cIOS, people use different revisions of the loader...

Hint:
With cIOS 222 rev 4 installed as 38 merge 37
Set global boot to 222
Set global 002fix to ANTI
Set Video Mode to AUTOPATCH

All games will load without having to change anything else individually (except Pikmin2 PAL on an NTSC system, and probably some but not all other PAL games on NTSC systems, requires Video Mode to be set to DISC DEFAULT and you must have a TV that can display it)

If doing this, you must delete your gxgamesettings.cfg before changing the global boot and a restart after changing the global boot is necessary before you try to load any games so the change can take effect.

Well it should be. Possbile you have a bad dump? Is the game from the same region as your system? Have you tried deleting the gxglobal.cfg and gxgamesettings.cfg files and setting them again? Are you trying to force a video mode? Do you have Block IOS Reload ON (you shouldn't as it only works on one game and that's not GH5)?

Will try again tonight. Dump should not be the problem I guess because the iso has been burned to disc. This disc play well through the disc channel (wiikey installed)

anyone able to get NHL 2K10 to work? I keep getting black screen with it on this loader and it's the only game that won't load for me.

USB Loader GX r749 is now available from http://usbloadergx.koureio.net/downloads/revisions. Please download and test the Ocarina function as the revision includes a possible fix (Note: still will not load over 255 lines of codes...).

Report back here as to whether the function is working or not.
Also, please test with fresh config files...ie, delete your gxglobal.cfg and gxgamesettings.cfg files before loading this dol.

don't know if this has been addressed just putting in my experience....i found that when you install a game you will lose the pointer if you do not keep the wii remote active. if it desyncs, you can still get a pointer before the game is finished but if the game installs then you resync the remote you will not have a pointer until you restart the program. i also found that if you try to resync just before the game is finished installing you will not get a pointer still.

Dead Space PAL does not run with ocarina on, also house of the dead overkill loads with cheats first time, but when I save and power off my wii, and later I try to play again it doesn´t work with ocarina on.

Sorry, I've been messing with this and other USB loaders all day. My Wii keeps saying it can't recognize a USB drive when I boot it up with this, and when it gives me the option of IOS something and IOS 222, if I click IOS 222, it'll just freeze. The music will continue to play and all, but...yeah.

My flash drive is formatted in WBFS format and I'm trying to run Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (US). My flash drive is on the "working" list (kingston 4 GB). Any ideas?

Sorry, I've been messing with this and other USB loaders all day. My Wii keeps saying it can't recognize a USB drive when I boot it up with this, and when it gives me the option of IOS something and IOS 222, if I click IOS 222, it'll just freeze. The music will continue to play and all, but...yeah.

i sometimes have this same issue
normally the loader will boot straight up
but quite a few times it wont recognize my drive, even after replug it in, then i have to hard reset it

IMPORTANT

Since r749 and on, USB Loader GX has been updated for better support of cIOS 222/223 rev4. Unfortunately that dropped the compatibility with the previous versions of cIOS 222/223. You can find rev4 at the above site, at downloads page

By the way for two days the new revs probably won't make it to the server for auto update.

one question: is there any chance you ever include the ocarina -code into usbloader-gx?

it would be super-waesome to start wiiware and retailgames both with banner from the same app .
