Hacking USB Loader GX

Wow no new update in 24 hours, this is strang is everyone ok. Lol. I just wanted to take a look at what has been done over a short bit of time. Who would have thought we would have had the HBC on this loader with Channel loading as well. Awsome looking grid view, much faster and able to lock this loader. We ask for so much and the team has gave us so much. I hope one day we will get everything we want in this loader, but till then I am enjoying the ride. And to all the coders working on this, if your unhappy with all the post good or bad just thank that to all of us posting you guys are doing what we can only wish we could do are selfs. We need all of you working at your best to make the magic that is this loader to keep getting better and better.

Keep up the good work folks, as Chaos Punk noted, while in the program itself, it is saying 700 is the latest release.

please people if you have a bug report use http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-gui/issues/list if its legitimate... it will only make this loader better.

also if issue inst covered in this massive thread check there! you might find your awesner.

quick question:

is there any way to get a list of game names "from" my hd as a text or file I could open ??

Why ??

I want to start my own compatibility list of games and I "already have them marked with characters" in the names on the hd and I don't want to re-write them on paper or in a new text file like notepad.

^ = plays but exits into black screen
() = needs disc in the Wii
* = doesn't work
# = .dol has been change to boot
@ = 222
$ = 249

etc...etc...

some are more than one character, get it ??

I know I am not going to get it, But I am installing this loader for my brother in like 8 hours. So from what I can tell eveything works well except the cheat code system. So is there any chance of getting it fix by that time. Well good luck I hope someone has a fix very soon. Thanks again.

I just installed Hermes rev3 (cios36->222) and didn't work for me with SSBB (black screen). The same installation with rev2 was working fine for me except it was slow at the booting.

Sorry I know the cheat code system will get fixed it is just my luck it will not get fix tell after I leave my brothers house and return home. Lol.

Working fine for me marinos. I installed as 37 merge 36 if that helps and deleted my previous installation with ATD before installing rev3.

it will format your drive to WBFS. i'd recommend formatting with WBFS Manager though

Working fine for me marinos. I installed as 37 merge 36 if that helps and deleted my previous installation with ATD before installing rev3.

I also tried 37 merge 36->223 which hd the same problems for me. I shouldn't need to use ATD. Anyway I'll ty later to reinstall rev2 36 as 222 and rev3 36 as 223 and I'll compare them again. Too bad that SSBB doesn't work well with cIOSv14.

What's the deal with all you friggin' cheaters anyways!? I was playing bomberman online last night and I couldn't get a game without a cheater in it and for some reason I felt ashamed these were other people who were potentially using the same loader as me.... I just don't understand cheaters, what kind of satisfaction could you possibly get out of cheating!?

This is actually a good start -- it means the loader found your hard disk but it did not find a WBFS partition on the drive. WBFS is the file system recognized by the Wii. The loader itself should theoretically be able to format your drive for you, but in my case this didn't work (1tb wd my book). Just use WBFS Manager to format the drive. You might want to create a small fat32 partition (~10gb?) to host the config files and images used by the loader, but it works perfectly fine without it (assuming you have an SD card in the the wii).

I to am waiting for the ocarina bug to be fixed. Mainly cos i want to play Brawl+, but i believe we need the new gecko os source added in before that is possible anyway.

This thread has really slowed down over the last few days, and the amount of revisions has too. Could that mean we are nearing another stable release??
