OK that explains why you are getting the loading screen then what is happening is you are loading the forwarder which is then loading the normal dol from either usb or SD that is why you get the loading screen. There is no way around that if you have to use the forwarder dol as it is going to take time to load.

If you follow my procedure but don't use the forwarder dol but use the r???.dol instead there will be no loading screen. The only problem doing it this way is that you cannot use the online update and have to manually update but that isn't so difficult place the new dol (when there is a later one that you want to install) onto the root of SD card in same way as first load hold reset when preloader comes up then install file then you will get new version automatically loading.

What you have to decide is which is more important to you no loading screen or being able to update online?

Is possible to have the boot.dol forwarder for the preloader without the loading screen?

I'm talking about the dol forwarder, not the standard r???.dol

PLEASE HELP, I am getting sick of this. Might go to another loader in a second, I am on IOS249 (Rev 12) which is weird when i used the installer off the USBloaderGX website for IOS38, on rev 575 as the latest version i get code dumps after fucking code dumps, Games wont load, covers disapear, menus arent loading

I updated, latest version, games are hanging at black screen, anyone got a cIOS downgrade?

that's normal , the installer takes the IOS38 , patch it , and installs it as IOS249

For your problem , wait for a loader GX user , as i'm not ^^

umm.. i'm confused
for the disc pictures, does it use 4 digit pics or 6 digit ones?

I downloaded a pack which had 4 digits, and i can see the disc art ok and everything, however it still reports there are some missing whenever i install a new game. apparently it downloads the same pic with 6 digit code..

so umm.. whats going on here lol..

I don't know what i have done now, No games work, loader code dumps when i look at it funny its that freaking often, I just want my wii to work. as i want it to.

Double post, dont care. Its not any cIOS problem i think, as I have a VERY basic usbloader which boots the games fine, I think its just the loader, ill wait for the next update and hopefully it'll work

Delete your config file: SD:/config/GXGlobal.cfg

OK then the answer to the question about whether or not there is a way to get riid of the loading screen is no as far as I am aware as there will always be a loading part to the sequence as firstly you load the forwarded dol which then loads the actual dol and that isn't instant.

I would guess that the loading screen could possible be removed from the loader dol program but then you would be looking at a black screen for the length of time that the loader is currently displaying the loading screen although that would probably require recoding of the dol.

Nope no luck, still code dumps when loading a game, saving a setting, exiting a disk menu, going into the fancy coverflow UI, reloading the SD, pretty much using the loader it code dumps

Well plenty of other people use it fine especially on Revision 13a. I am useing it on Rev 13a and running latest update and I get no code dumps and my covers do download fine. The only problem I have which is a Rev 13a bug is I need to reset console after playing game to play another, if I don't do this then I will get a Black Screen. This is not the loaders fault. If I was you I would delete the Gx folder and reinstall everything from scratch, I am not saying it will be a magic cure but it should not be doing what problems you have now.

Sorry to seem ungrateful earlier, i was getting pissed off with my Wii is all, I have got it to work again, got a new 1GB SD card, and put the latest version of the loader on it, I think the SD card was fucked

No don't go. When I read this i curled up in a nude ball in the flood and cried. My grandmother found me passed out with empty peanut butter jars around me. Apparently I had tried to console myself with comfort food and blacked out from a combination of exhaustion and food induced coma.
But I realize that the world needs you for bigger and better things and I won't try to stop you. Go do what you need to do. And just remember that we here miss you. You have been such a huge part of this project. You will surely bee missed. Maybe somebody else will step up and take your place.

Since this is at over 500 pages of comments, and one post can quickly get buried by tons of questions surrounding forwarders and USB partitiions (ugh, that should be a simple issue to deal with), I'll restate...

What, exactly, is the ideal way to install Hermes' cIOS and Waninkoko's cIOS modules?!??

I've tried a number of combinations to try and get The Conduit working, with no lock (Hermes 222 and revs 10, 12, 13b 249, 002 fix on, off, anti) - always resulting in code dumps.

So what the heck?

Most of the other games seem to be working, including Ghostbusters.

With USB Loaders, the issues over combinations of cIOS modules and 002 fixes seem to be very complex, and it would be nice if there was a simple FAQ regarding this.

the txt files must be named the same as the 6 digit game id and placed it the location pointing to txtcodes in the custom path settings in the loader, the reason GX is allow cheats to be enable but not edited is cause you have the .gct file in the /codes folder but not the .txt in the /txtcodes.

e.g.

sd:/txtcodes/RCJE8P.txt - The Conduit

NOT

sd:/txtcodes/The Conduit.txt

that's what I did and it just says cannot find codes, what version is it confimred to working? I'm using rev 581.

Fired this game "The Conduit" up last night actually.

249rev10 - I Do NOT have 222 installed at all.
forwarder 581

just plain default system and game settings.

Played it for about 30 minutes.... no issues at all.
