Does anyone else get an issue playing wi-fi games? I haven't tried any other games on wi-fi, but Call of Duty World at War lags when you play on wi-fi through the USB loader. Single player and everything else is speedy and works great, however it lags on wi-fi. It's not my internet's fault either, I have the original disk and it works just fine on wi-fi with no lag or anything. It especially starts lagging me if I'm host, but the other people in the game don't lag even if I'm host and I'm lagging. Any ideas?

Quick Question, is there a way to get metroid prime and house of the dead 2 working, i heard it switches ios in the middle of the game, there a way around this?

So now we can set the "002 Fix" in the Game Load settings. If you do that with CIOS38 rev13a must i set the 002 Fix at the game settings also ???

Metroid has always worked. If you are using an older version of cIOS you will need a disk in the drive, if it still fails after that try and adjust some of the custom setttings for that game. I can't vouch for House of the Dead but, if something does not work I just play around with the custom settings for example, video mode or turn the patches on or off, it hasn't failed me yet.

has anyone had success loading images and all that from the hard drive itself? I can't seem to get it to work. I have it set at USB:/images/ and USB:/images/disc and it won't load anything up, anyone know what the problem might be, or is it still not working correctly? It can read fat or fat 32 correct? it is formatted to fat 32, but it won't read the images, and I put the images folder on there, so they should show up, but they don't. any help mates?

Change the gametitle.dol to boot.dol and replace it or something around that premises

I thought dol switching was only available on neogamma for now?

I Think this works with any loader, but you are replacing the main.dol with another, which would throw you right in the game, not allowing for saves.

I'm hoping WiiPower (Made NeoGamma) or someone else is able to solve the multi-loading of dol's which would be a huge breakthrough, so if you launch Indiana Jones, you could play either game, Fate of Atlantis or the actual game.

i have a curious situation...

i own a japanese wii running 4.0j. and cios rev 13. i applied the softmod using bannerbmob/bootmii and despite a few error messages here and there i think it's working. intsalled the HBC and GX loader as a channel using the forwarder at the very start of this thread.

after lots of screwing around with game region settings (autopatch, force NTSC, system default, game default, etc) i have been able to get all of my games working - except super mario galaxy. it's strange because even though i may have two games from the same region (NTSC-U for example) they require different patches/settings to boot. also my USB drive only shows up when it's plugged into the right USB port.

i have tried both PAL and NTSC-U versions of the game (mario galaxy) and both give me a black screen when i try to boot.

i read a post about the 'country string' patch for japanese wiis - can somebody quickly explain what this is and if it might help? also any other firmwares i may need? sorry i've only been at this wii hacking game for a couple of days.

can somebody explain the country srting patch for me and whether this could be why mario galaxy isn't working? anybody know how to get it working on a japanese console?

in the settings menu select the default settings that worked for me

nah not supposed to be funny, dont really get what you are saying there with that mantis, I haven't had much time to read through all of this, so if theres something I am missing, then its because I haven't had a lot of free time, so I asked a simple question, I was told that I could do that with a fat or fat 32 partition, I changed the custom path to USB:/images and it wasn't working. So was I given false information here then, is this not possible to do with this loader?

Default settings would go to SD path wouldn't it?

I want USB path if possible, without the use of the SD

I also read about how you can just rename the USB:/ or SD:/ and when I rename, I have to delete all, it doesn't let me just rename that first part of it, is there a way I am supposed to do that? It would be nice to just replace that part instead of everything.

Put the software on the USB FAT32 partition, delete all config files and start the software from USB without a SD inserted.
Now the correct config files are created pointing to the default directories on the USB drive. Make sure you put the images in the correct directory on the USB drive.

This worked for me when I switched from SD to USB for the loader and images.

Hi guyz!

Shit happenz. Since I use the new forwarder-channel, I have a code dump and the loader won`t start.
I tried to use the boot.dol together with the preloader 0.29, but the code dump is still there.
I`m on a 3.2E with a cIOS13b and the new Hermes cIOS 222 (default) and the cIOS 223 36/38.
What`s wrong with it..?
Can I uninstall a boot.dol, wich was installed by the preloader..?

Thanx for your answers!
Everything worx perfect now ... Thank you for the great application and the nice ideas flying out from the gx-team ...
In german language I would say: "HAMMERGEIL"

P.S.: It would be nice, if you would publish the names of the fonts using in the loader grafix. (like team twiizers with the homebrew channel)

Is there any way to get USB Loader GX cover art updating to play nice with the Wired Ethernet Adapter? If I attempt to do updating of any kind with the Wii set to use my Wired connection, I get a code dump. (I'll post the code dump tomorrow when I get a chance to switch it back to Wired and try it again)

I'm having trouble playing Super Mario Galaxy. The game freezes after about 1 hour of gameplay and the I have to restart the Wii. Is this a known problem?

What kind of hard drive you using? Its possible you still have the sleep feature turned on and its shutting down after an hour.

I tried both an 8GB Pen Drive and a 40GB External HDD. I will investigate the sleep feature, I take it it's an option on the Wii settings?

I believe that's a feature specific to some external hard drives. They spin down after a certain amount of time to try and save power, but unfortunately that has the effect of locking up the Wii from what I understand.
