I'm still having troubles when trying to download covers... At least the 3d cover won't download.

I click the "No Cover" cover, YES, then it says "initializing network" and the remote rumbles for a while and BAM! Code dump...

I also notices something. If I turn off the music, the dump screen makes no sound, but if it's turned on, it makes a weird sound like it broken (kreeeeeeeeeeeeeee)

EDIT: I just saw the wiki and there are 2 USB LOADER GX, and they have unmatching info XP

you don't NEED to install any wad. you can run it straight as a dol. if you want to access it from the sys menu, you only need to install 1 wad. use the forwarder to point to your sd card or the other wad to install the whole app to your wii memory. the choice is yours.

What if you've never setup any USB Loaders before. Only Gamma Backup Loader.

So I'd install this:

1. cIOS36_Rev9-Installer
2. go into HBC and run WAD Manager 1.4
3. from Wad Manager install USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder.wad
- (so this will install a channel as per the video on page 1?)

so is the USB Loader GX-UNLR.wad ONLY to be used if you have PreLoader installed? (which I don't)

Well this can be done noprob. Ok people tell me if you want that idea OR what i think is a better solution is just:

SD:/config/GXGlobal.cfg
SD:/config/GXGames.cfg
SD:/config/GXThemes.cfg
SD:/config/titles.txt
This is nice, but I still think the idea of having ALL the files in the same directory/subdirectories is better. Something like...

CODESD:/apps/USBLoaderGX/boot.dol
SD:/apps/USBLoaderGX/icon.png
SD:/apps/USBLoaderGX/meta.xml
SD:/apps/USBLoaderGX/config/GXGlobal.cfg
SD:/apps/USBLoaderGX/config/GXGames.cfg
SD:/apps/USBLoaderGX/config/GXThemes.cfg
SD:/apps/USBLoaderGX/config/titles.txt

Install cIOS36 rev10-installer Its the latest version, but rev9 will work as well.

USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder.wad Is a forwarder channel. It will install a channel on your wii menu but will require that you have your sd card in the wii and the boot.dol file be in the proper place(SD:apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol) This way you can update to the newest version without having to install a new channel.Just replace the boot.dol file and your good to go.

USB Loader GX-UNLR.wad is a channel. It will install usbloader_gx version 1 as a channel. You will not need your sd card to use it unless you want to use the cover/theme features ext..

bad thing about this one is that gx loader gets updated constantly and it would get outdated pretty quick.
version 1 loader was rev311 i think and the loader is now at rev326.

Anyone else have the visual bug when inputting an underscore in the paths (like disc cover) in the settings menu, the text shifts up slightly?

Yes, I had that problem. I removed the underscores and everything lined up fine.

I approuve the fact of putting all the folders/files used by the loader in the usbloader_gx folder.
+1

Can you release the forwarder dol and/or source code?
Here you go:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PGA04UHG
Might not be the best solution since i made it in like 20mins from an old forwarder source i did a long time ago.
If you got a forwarder that loads faster you are welcome to send us the source

.
If I wanted to recompile the Forwarder, with a different target path, what do I need to do?

Thanks!

The "underscore" issue still exists! See Issue #276 HERE.

** SUGGESTION ** - Remove the underscore ("_") from the Forwarder target location (SD:/apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol).

Someone will need to recompile the Forwarder to make this happen!

Feature request:
Can parental control settings also be made editable on the individual game level (would need update of the titles.txt from the usbloader)?

In the file main.c you need to change this line of code to whatever path you want it to be:
exeFile = fopen ("SD:/apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol" ,"rb");

Then save and recompile.

Guys kudos!!!
ntsc wii 4.0 bin running this for a while now never had any problems the last version is nice and fast!!!
keep it up!!!! THis is the way to go with the wii!!
p.s. love the wad

With the GX 1.0... is there still a way to have God Mode? Hate the fact that everytime I want to install or change a title, that I have to enter an unlock code. Didn't know if it was possible or not.

I think I remember reading that you just have to unlock it and then delete the password.

Hi guys, I'm new to the scene but have been using your loader for a while: It's awesome.

I've got an idea for a possible new feature, I don't know if it's feasable or if it's already been suggested:
How about loading isos over LAN?
Ftpii has shown that the Wii can handle ftp well, do you think it's possible to implement it in this loader to load games?
The game file would be stored on the computer, and the Wii would access it over wifi and load it up.
Again, sorry if this is a stupid idea, just wanted to see what you guys think

.
Maybe streaming that amount of data isn't possible?
Thanks for listening to my idea!

Hermes has made a new cios 222 (merged 36 with 37,38,60) and a new cios 223 for his uloader.
Do you know what's new ?
microfonos works correctly with rock band, disneys sing it, high school musical, I am sure because of i I've just use it a minute ago.
The cios is very new, it is only minutes-old
