My bad. I normally use a GC controller, but I just tried using a Wiimote with a classic controller attached and when I pressed the home button it taken me back to the loader

It's hard to debug issues like this, when it works for me with 2 different HDD enclosures and on both a Wii and vWii.
I've done more testing but haven't figured out why the home button makes it freeze in the new version. It also froze when pressing the home button in YAMW ME for some reason
The total path length limit is 260 characters, but during a rewrite, I may have unintentionally enforced a 64 character limit on folder titles to ensure they always fit into disc headers — likely an oversight from late-night coding.

I'll have my NTFS drive setup soon, so I'll be testing various paths.
I assume you're going to revert that? If so that's one issue solved.

@blackb0x As I told you in my last reply, I made a video and this is what happens. I erased all the modified channels from my NAND and it still gives me a DSI error every time when I try to change the display (it usually crashes when my NAND channels are displayed) although it doesn't happen all the time (when I recorded it for example). I tried clearing the title cache from the loader settings and noticed that after the error when hitting Reset my TV screen stays half bugged as if the loader couldn't restart itself so I have to turn off my Wii. When I don't reset the title cache this doesn't happen and the loader restarts without a problem even though it still gives me a DSI error, it's only when I restart it. It's not a very serious problem for me since everything else works fine but since a couple of previous versions of the loader I can't start channels because of this strange error.

Real minor issue - Tested in V4 and v3. If playing a game with nunchuck attached to wiimote, then leaving things for a while until the wiimote light turns off/sleeps, when trying to wake system or move wiimote, the wiimote doesn't respond, or does, but doesn't move properly. Found you can simply just unplug the nunchuck and the wiimote starts responding normally and can then just re-plug the nunchuck if needed. Clearly not a big deal, just wasn't sure if anything that could be made to work better or not. Either way, thanks for the continued support!

I installed the stable build and it's crash everytime i start the console. (I had it installed with Priiloader to load USB Loader GX when i turn on the console.)

Great work team, I just deployed the latest version and it seems to be stable enough with my 2TB SAN disk, only from starting the WAD towards haveing games in the main screen takes around 15+ seconds, I believe this is more than the older version which I also tried, But overall great improvement :)

hi, i currently have v 3.0 - 1272 and i would like to update to latest 4.0 - 1282. Is it safe and the new release is stable or i will introduce some issues?
In order to correctly update i will follow these steps, but i have some questions, please:

1) Extract the apps folder to the root of your SD card and replace any existing files. --> so, i will copy/overwrite all the files:
https://i.postimg.cc/ydcTC2b1/Cattura1.png

2) Install the latest d2x cIOS. --> I copy the "d2x-cios-installer" folder into my apps folder into the sd card. And i follow these steps: https://wii.hacks.guide/cios.html?tab=cios-for-vwii-(wii-u)

3) Optional: Update wiitdb.xml by selecting the update option within the loaders settings menu. --> i suppose i will find this option into the new USB loader GX menu. Do you suggest to do this step?

4) Optional: Install the loaders forwarder channel, then go into Loader Settings and set Return To to UNEO. --> i will put the USBLoaderGX_forwarder[UNEO].wad file into my WAD folder into the SD root and i install it using YAWMN. and then set as suggested.

Is everything correct?

thank you!

IDK how, but now loads normally.
Well, no more questions.

For channel forward "USBLoaderGX_forwarder[UNEO].wad"

I don't remember, but at some point the text in USB Loader GX's forwarder tooltip stopped appearing on Korea Wii as below;
Is there a solution?

And, I'm sharing a code dump error that I suspect is the folder name error mentioned above.
I guess some Mod game names might cause problems... Because names are given based on personal subjective convenience.

Case 2) https://gbatemp.net/threads/usb-loader-gx.149922/post-10681356
Case 3) As below;

I fully understand your opinion on this matter. The solutions and cases are fully recognized and this is just a simple sharing of different error information. :)

I ran some tests on the loader over the weekend:

1 – I tested the new video settings options a bit. I must say that the image on my WII with an HDMI adapter has improved a lot! I recommend everyone to try these new options!

2 – Old third-party themes, although they work very well, sometimes crash and freeze. Using the default theme prevents this from happening (which makes me even more anxious for the release of a dark version)

3 – During the whole weekend, only one game displayed strange behavior: Speed Racer. I don't know what's going on, but the game won't leave the language selection screen...

hi, thanks for your work, in the new things it says thay kirby now works from the sd card, i tried and get a black screen, and resident evil still asks me to connect the nunk chuck, is there something that i'm missing? how can i help

Start by trying a fresh install of r1282 and make sure your cios are up to date.
Hi thank you, it's a fresh install and the cios i'll re-hack my console to be sure they're up to date, it's being about 10 months since i did it.

Hey, I updated the loader and d2x cios to the latest versions, but now a couple of games (from the ones I've tested so far) do not work. Wii Sports returns to the Wii Menu and Mario Kart Wii crashes as soon as I launch it. I've tried reinstalling the usb loader gx and the latest cios, and also reverting to the last loader (release r1281). What else can I try?

Edit:

Nevermind, my SSD case seems to be failing. I switched back to my old HDD and it worked fine. I ordered a quality case for my SSD to see if it resolves the issue.

(I understand that there are no speed gains, but I had an SSD lying around with a bigger storage capacity.

People hello, with the new update my games only show if they are in folders, is there a work around maybe ? It didn't use to be like this, now I have to change names and put them on folders, why ?

To the attention of @blackb0x:
i tried the latest revision (r1282) as i'd seen there's been a major update and i had to instantly had to roll back to the former version which i was using previously (r1272), as literally no wii games were actually appearing at all?! :wtf:

I have checked and updated everything (including cIOS to v11), i had even taken my external hdd out and plugged it back in again to back of the console... though, still nothing?

are wbfs files just not actually supported anymore or is it defintely broken?

Sorry that i ask the same thing again but @blackb0x i would really love to know if you actually programed the original beta release of 1282 to stop booting after the date you planed to release the final 1282. i say this because on my wii with a damaged wifi chip it still showed the message. The only way this wouldve happened is if the app was programmed to stop booting at that date, therebefore, you had planed the release date of the final 1282 as early as the first release of the beta.
Thank you, i would really love to get an answer to this.
