Same problem
I never had the r1281 version but I tried to install it and it didn't change anything, the one I used before the test version was an old version (unfortunately I don't remember the number) and it worked.
It sounds like a caching issue, since you're seeing games from the previous USB drive. But I haven't changed caching at all for USB Loader GX r1282.
Do you have USB Loader GX installed to an SD card? And do both of the drives have a mix or Wii and GC games or does one have GC games and the other has Wii games?
Same problem

I'll try to replicate your setup later today. But for the time being you should be able to go to the features/miscellaneous settings menu and disable caching. That should make things work for you.

I tried to do as you say, I put a different HD and the games were still the old ones, I went into features/miscellaneous settings menu and emptied the cache, the games became the correct ones of the new HD. The problem is that every time I change HD I always have to redo this procedure.
The loader would apply patches during runtime, so no permanent changes were made to the games. But I wouldn't want these old codes to conflict with any possible future changes, however unlikely that is.
Thank you again @blackb0x , for adding the feature of turning the Wiimote motor off per game.
Now I can play The House of the Dead without having to turn it off through general setting, and the game plays like a charm, no more unexpected "reload"!
Hi, I just fully refreshed the hack of my 2 Wii (with ModMii) and everything went well but I notice a difference in behavior that I can't explain:
- one of the consoles freezes when I quit a gamecube game until I don't add “return to= USB Loader” in the settings,
- while the other doesn't need this to exit properly.
Unless I miss something, everything has been configured the same way and seems to works the same on both sides (Wads, Wii games, ...). USB Loader GX apps are stored on the USB device while Nintendont apps are on the SD cards. The freezing Wii uses the same sd card model, but with only 8go instead of 32go for the other one.
Resetting the loader configuration, cache and games settings files doesn't change a thing.
What can be the causes ?

I released d2x-v11-beta3, an updated forwarder and an updated USB Loader GX (test version) over the weekend. So I'd recommend updating everything to see if that changes anything.
[X] Interchanging SD cards didn't change anything: each Wii kept its own behavior.
[?] The PriiLoader versions should be identical since both Wiis come from the same ModMii batch. At least I've seen that the settings in there are the same on both sides, but I'll check again the version numbers to be sure.
[?] OK for the different elements to be updated, I'll test it and let you know!
Edit : I'm also going to test another HDD as I read everywhere that USB sticks suck. I've just placed an order with a WD.

Corrected how the loader was displayed on TVs when using the 4:3 aspect ratio via a Wii U (vWii)
Added a screen mode setting for vWii (only visible if you're using 16:9)
We Dare will now work correctly with the loaders default settings
Favorites will now refresh when switching between menus and view types
Resetting the loader to it's default settings will now correctly reset the theme
Improved how the settings menu displays text for all supported languages
Removed all online patches for CoD and Rock Band games
In the previous test version, I copied how the Wii U applies pillarboxing to maintain a 4:3 aspect ratio when the console is set to widescreen. But a few people wanted that to be optional, which is why there's a new Screen Mode setting that's only visible if you're using widescreen on vWii.
The System Default option will pillarbox 4:3 games and the Fullscreen option will stretch the image to 16:9 unless you adjust your TVs settings.
In the first post of this thread you'll also find an updated forwarder that works for both Wii and vWii
So, after updating the cIOS to d2x-v11-beta3 + installing the latest USB.L.GX forwarder now all works as expected. Also running the VC games on the Emunand looks much more stable, love it !
Many thanks to all and especially to blackb0x (just bought you a ko-fi ) !

Think I might have a legit game that locks up the system on exit. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (RPWZ41/US). Have tried different sources as well. Using vWii. When return to is off, exiting to the wii menu leaves a black screen, disconnects the wiimote, and have to hard reset. I've tried return to UNEO, and return to Homebrew Channel, and both of those options seem to work OK. Tried launching GX both through forwarder, and Homebrew Channel, and no difference. Using default USB Loader options. System options below:
System type: vWii
Loader: v4.0 Rev. 1282 / Test (latest test ver)
CIOS: D2X-V11-Beta3
Game Storage: SD Card/FAT32
No biggie if cannot fix, only game I have that does this now, just wanted to mention. Thanks.
Does USB Loader GX include a way to have the Wii's disc drive light on all the time while a game is running regardless of if it's just sitting on the USB Loader GX menu or is in a Wii game, GameCube game (Nintendont), or virtual console game? I miss that function from Devolution (it sort of pulsed the light brighter and dimmer in accordance to game I/O activity or something, but always stayed on).
Basically I'm finding family members have now accidentally left my Wii console on multiple times now in the last several months (was left on all night today...), and having the disc drive light be always on would certainly make it much more obvious. The existing "WiiLight" setting in USB Loader GX when set to on doesn't seem to have it stay on, and the light setting for Nintendont defaults to off but flashes on when reading game data which doesn't help if a game is just sitting there doing nothing and the light remaining off.
From what I can tell, all of the historic ways (like from 2010) were either to just send your Wii an email and never open it (that service doesn't work anymore) or to physically mod the console (I'd rather not considering Devolution proved that it can be done in software) as was mentioned in the following thread from 2010, though it also includes source code information on controlling the Wii disc light if that's of any use:
Hello, all! I hope you are enjoying the loader's new style! Just wanted to say we worked hard on it and are considering a dark theme right now! Any feedback or love for the light theme is always appreciated.
Unless someone out there would like to update the theme creator, somehow, I doubt I will update my other themes for the new feature of sorting by console or nand. Here is a link to my resources if you're curious.
Hi @blackb0x, thanks for maintaining and improving USB Loader GX!
I noticed a serious issue on my system after uprgading to the latest test version - Wii games won't load, black screen, wiimote disconnected, hard restart required.
For convenience let's call test-1 version from #post-10606722
and test-2 version from #post-10615463
I have a Wii with updated cIOS to d2x v11 beta 3 and replaced forwarder with the latest one. I use priiloader that starts uneo.
I have no problem with test-1 version.
But version test-2 works as mentioned. I tried reseting to default settings, no change. I tried Emunad save mode on and off, no change. Wiware games work.
Reverting to version test-1 fixes the problem.
Hello everyone and thank you @blackb0x for your work on USB Loader.
I have a question: do you think it would be possible in a future version to add an option to return to the WiiU menu? Indeed, I use the WiiU and when I want to change the resolution with evwii, I have to go through the Wii menu and then the WiiU menu, which is time-consuming and less convenient.
I think an option to exit to the Wii U menu would be great (in the meantime i added the "Wii U Menu Channel" into the games selection.), other than that this update is amazing thanks for your hard work!
