USB Loader GX r1282 (test version) updated
  • Corrected how the loader was displayed on TVs when using the 4:3 aspect ratio via a Wii U (vWii)
  • Added a screen mode setting for vWii (only visible if you're using 16:9)
  • We Dare will now work correctly with the loaders default settings
  • Favorites will now refresh when switching between menus and view types
  • Resetting the loader to it's default settings will now correctly reset the theme
  • Improved how the settings menu displays text for all supported languages
  • Removed all online patches for CoD and Rock Band games
In the previous test version, I copied how the Wii U applies pillarboxing to maintain a 4:3 aspect ratio when the console is set to widescreen. But a few people wanted that to be optional, which is why there's a new Screen Mode setting that's only visible if you're using widescreen on vWii.

The System Default option will pillarbox 4:3 games and the Fullscreen option will stretch the image to 16:9 unless you adjust your TVs settings.

In the first post of this thread you'll also find an updated forwarder that works for both Wii and vWii :)

d2x v11 beta 3
  • Fixed IOS38 version identification for Wii. It was originally set to the wrong value 13 years ago.
This will ensure that automatic cIOS selection works correctly with WiiWare and VC games on the Wii.

I tried to install the wad of the forwarder in the first post via Yamm ME. But under priiloader -> Return to: there is no option for UNEO just Autoboot, Installed File, System Menu and Priiloader. Am I missing something? I use Priiloader 0.10.0.

What are you trying to do in Priiloader?

I try to boot directly into USB Loader when starting the console and shutting down a game.
The uneo priiloader/priibooter dol file is the same as before, it will point to whatever UNEO forwarder channel wad is installed

Edit:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/usbloadergx/files/Releases/Forwarders dols/UNEO Channel Booter for Priiloader.zip/download

After installing the priiloader dol file from the zip above in priiloader, u can select it using the "installed file" option in priiloader
Thank you, the dol file worked. Just to make it clear, the forwarder wad from post #1 under USB Loader GX Forwarder is not needed?

The UNEO channel booter (DOL file) for Priiloader requires the UNEO forwarder (WAD file) to function correctly, since Priiloader can't yet boot channels itself.

If DacoTaco were to add forwarder channel booting in a future release then you'd no longer need the UNEO channel booter.

I have a problem, if I change hd the list of wii games remains the same as the previous one, even turning off the Wii does not update. The only way to update it is to put a hd with gamecube games, if I then put a hd with Wii games the list updates. Is there a way to force the update, or do I have to delete some old files from the SD?

In a previous release patches were included for CoD (Black Ops, Reflex, MW3) and Rock Band (3, The Beatles) to fix error 23400. But the servers have long since shutdown, so the patches aren't necessary anymore.
I'm guessing WFC servers? If so nice, but what about stuff like Wiimmfi?

If both USB drives are connected at the same time and both of them have Wii games on them then it's basically deprecated behaviour, since that requires an older buggy version of d2x that I don't offer support for.

You can try going to miscellaneous settings and disabling caching. Or maybe use the reset cache option at the bottom of the list.

EDIT: Unless you mean you're literally removing and replacing the USB drive while the loaders running? In which case, don't do that. It's never been supported and you risk corrupting your partitions.

They're all unsupported by Wiimmfi. But if Wiimmfi did ever add support for any of the games then they'd expect them to be in an unmodified state.

No no i don't removing and replacing the USB driver while the loader is running.
I exit the loader, change the HD and re-enter the loader. I always have only one HD connected.
Before this method worked without problems, now it doesn't.

Were you previously using USB Loader GX r1281? If yes then what happens if you downgrade?

It sounds like a caching issue, since you're seeing games from the previous USB drive. But I haven't changed caching at all for USB Loader GX r1282.

Do you have USB Loader GX installed to an SD card? And do both of the drives have a mix or Wii and GC games or does one have GC games and the other has Wii games?
