other users didn't report anything wrong with Devolution launched from USBLoaderGX on vWii.
Your wiimotes are correctly synched with WiiU/vWii?
When you say you can launch them directly through Devolution, I suppose it's on vWii?

I don't know what could be the problem, sorry.

Someone in another discussion pointed me to the loader.bin file, and proved that -- once again -- I cannot read what is right in front of me.

I will be trying again this evening, but I suspect that the problem was on my end.

hey cyan, is there any reason why when i try to play the gc games on the wiiU with devo 200, that the gc games arent asking if i want to play in progressive scan mode?

(nm it seems my tv is already in progressive mode on the wiiU's wii mode, so it doesnt ask when i boot the gc game up)

I've noticed ULGX messes up Wii's statistics on games played. To be more exact, it counts all games played as "Homebrew channel". (Wiiflow, on the other hand, leaves the correct information.)
Not that it's that important (I even noticed it accidentally), but just out of curiosity: can it be changed through configuring, or, maybe, in further updates?

USB Loader gx wont read my sd card. Yesterday I was playing just fine without any errors. I searched up and checked to see if the config files were messed up but every path was in place. When I go to change the paths but all that comes up is USB8 in all the paths. Whenever I try to change the paths it gives "Error". Im using revision 1215 if that's any help.

After installing usb loader gx everything works fine but I can't get Wii Sports to work on my Wii (4.3u). My TV turns to black screen and my Wii freeze. Wii sports resort works perfectly but Wii Sports doesn't work. Please help me. Thanks.

Did you enabled the Playlog setting in the features menu?
Did you disabled the "return to" option ?

Try formating your SD card again, or use another one if it didn't fix the problem :(
Sometime, some SD card don't work anymore with the Wii (but still work with other devices/consoles).

dump the game again. Check the game size before dumping it (I had problem with that game showing few terabytes sizes).
reset the settings (in case you set a wrong video mode).

My HDD can't be read after starting usbloader GX from the homebrew channel. I have not touched any of the settings. The hard drive lights up to blue.

As per request in the Devolution thread, I managed to add support for Devolution's Direct Button Mapping setting into USB Loader GX. It works fine, however, the setting has no "name" string for it though (just a blank setting with ON/OFF/Use global).
I have uploaded my source changes here:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/zq5w4a82kk3lqvb/1215_mod_dmm_src_changes.zip

One problem I have though, is when I try to add a string for the new setting, when testing, it crashes the loader upon startup... what would I be doing wrong?
(Without the string, the loader and DEVO Direct Button Mapping setting work though, just the setting has no description  )

I have the same changes you did (I'll use your settings names to match existing user's settings)
I tested booting from Wiiload and SD card, and it works fine with setting name displayed.

With an older modification, I had problem with a compiled version booting only from Wiiload but not SD card/HBC, maybe the memory need an optimization.

cheats doesn't work with EmuNAND.
if you are using real nand, try changing the Channel loading mode in the Settings > loader Settings : boot or apploader.
if it still doesn't work, then cheat code doesn't work. try with Wiiflow instead, I think it's working.

I just got gamecube games working on my Wii U with the sample loader. I don't have an external hard drive for Wii U yet. So I'm using an SD card. Now I know that Wii games don't work with an SD card on usb loader gx. But what about gamecube games? I tried it but none of the games are showing up on it.

I also tried going into settings to change the custom paths. But when I click on it, it says error. So I can't change it. I think usb loader gx isn't/can't read my SD card for some reason.

Shiranui-san: I suppose it's with r1215?
when did it happen? in a particular menu, or when booting the loader? did it finally work on the 5th try?
more information is always welcome when you report a bug ;)

Bryon15:
1. be sure to use r1215, it's the latest revision available publicly (look in the credit page to be sure you are using the correct revision)
2. Click on the 4th icon in the top menu, and enable GameCube
3. Put the games in SD or USB;/games/SUBFOLDER HERE/game.iso
the filename MUST be named "game.iso" (not the game name, the 4 letters g+a+m+e)
The subfolder is require in USBloaderGX, or else it will not detect the ISO. that folder is better named after the game name and gameID, for example games/Legend of Zelda [GZLP01]/game.iso
4. you should have SD;/apps/gc_devo/loader.bin and in the loader's "user path" menu, the "Devolution folder" should be "apps/gc_devo/"

If it still doesn't display the games:
5. Force games listing from USB only or SD only (instead of AUTO), by going into settings > loader settings > GameCube origin : Auto/SD/USB.

Information:
6. Go to User paths:
There are two "gamecube path" : "Main" and "SD".
The "Main GameCube Path" is the one used when you dump a Disc using the loader, the ISO will go into this folder. it's best to put it on an USB device if you need to dump more games than your SD can hold.

The "SD path" is used as the place where the ISO are copied to if you use DIOS MIOS Lite to launch gamecube games. (as only SD can be used, it will copy the ISO from USB to SD before launching the game).

Check that your "Main GameCube Path" is set to USBx:/games/ (x= partition number)
there is also a "SD gamecube Path", this one should stay on SD card.

Of course, if you are using Devolution, you don't need to transfer the ISO to SD, it will launch the game from the place it's currently stored.

If you have the game in both SD and USB, it will only list one game.
Select the device to display in "GameCube origin" setting.
If it's set to "auto" it will depend on the installed MIOS (DIOS MIOS = prioritize USB games, then SD. DIOS MIOS LIte = prioritize SD games, then USB)

Oops, sorry, my fault.
Yes, it happened with r1215 and always when the loader was loading the hdd (just before going to the main menu) in the black screen with the usb loader gx logo.

I was ready with the camera 'cause it had happened the same several times previously. Sometimes loads at the fifth try, sometimes at the sixth. What I normally do after getting several codedumps is to turn off the Wii and then turn it on again. Then I load GX (always through Hombrew Channel) and it normally works at the first try.

The screenshots didn't help, all the addresses displayed don't match any code line in r1215.

it's strange that it's working randomly, and often better after a full shutdown.
it could be the HDD init, or a setting you are using which starts automatically (I'm thinking about "autoinit network" setting, or maybe the Title cache/wiitdb access or parsing).
Did you try to boot without the HDD connected when it happens ? if it still dump 4-5 times then it's not the HDD. maybe the SD card (put everything on USB and try again, etc.)
You need to test possible cause and eliminate them one by one until you find the problem.

"Titles from GameTDB", "Autoinit network" and "Cache Titles" all of them are off.
No, I didn't disconnect the HDD when it happened. Just tried booting GX after waiting 20 seconds for it to reload. If it happens again, I will unplug the HDD before going to GX again. I suppose it will ask for the HDD and the countdown will appear. Now, if I get a code dump again, it could be related to the HDD itself, right?

I'm still getting an error when I try to change the devo loader folder. I don't think it's initializing my sd card properly. Because when I start usb loader it hangs when it says initializing sd card for about 30 seconds. I've also noticed that wiixplorer doesn't load my sd card. When I start it, it takes a minute to come up. And when it does, it shows nothing on the card.

Hey, I fixed it. I just had to reformat the SD card. Thanks.

One more thing. I heard that usb loader gx had a feature that changes the button mapping back to how it was on the original gamecube controller. How do I use it?
