Hacking USB Loader GX

It seems to me like the channel and the forwarder aren't pointing to the correct folder

Remember that they will look on the sd card and all the partitions as well. It will search sd, fat32, ntfs, etc. So make sure you have them *all* cleaned up

Make sure you have all instances of gx removed except the latest.

By the way, the old forwarder still works fine if you want to run it from your sd card.

Okay, since the channel wad didn't work for me, I went the forwarder route. Installed the wad, clicked on the channel, clicked on Start....and back to the main channel page.

Does having the newest IOS249 help? I'm using Rev 17, if that means anything.

Assume you're running gx on your sd card then. Would the new forwarder not work for you from the sd card but the old one does?

Both require IOS58.
Use IOS58 installer by Tantric.

how "new" is this forwarder of yours? the new one uses IOS58 so you gotta have that.

I'm installing IOS58 as we speak. After that is it simply a case of running WAD Manager and installing the new forwarder?

I've used both forwarders with GX 2.0 version with no problems. If you're running off the SD card, you really don't need the new forwarder.

I just put Dora's Birthday Adventure on my hdd for my kids and it keeps freezing. I am using Rev 938. I have Wanin's Rev 20 and Hermes 5.1 on a 4.3U NTSC Wii.

Does anyone have some advice on how to get this game working?

Use gx 2.0. Just released today, but I've been beta testing it for a few weeks now. It works great.

You will have to reset your configs (actually it will do it for you).

Thanks guys! It seems to be working now. I just have to reset the folder so my disc art is visible.

Can't wait to load this release version out after testing all the beta v2.0 builds. Looks like I will finally be able to switch over to v2.0 and retire r938 as my main loader. Thanks to all that continue to make USB Loader GX better and better.

I have mine from the path:

SD/images/disc/

I haven't tested with the new official 2.0 loader release but it still should work.

BTW, you can change the paths from the loader settings.
