wbfs user. real happy 914 brings hermes v5 support!

finally, no more dlc nand/sd glitch! too bad i still can't figure out how to get ghwt dlc to work in gh5/bh. anyone with info, please pm me or start a new thread. don't want to pollute this one (not that it'd make a difference, with this thread having 12539 posts already LOL)

wonder if it'd work with rawksd

do you know how to get rid of the "..IOS 236 not found, using 36..etc,etc..." message that may be seen while autobooting to USBLoader GX through Priiloader 0.3 rev48?

It wasn't present with Preloader 0.29 (with the original forwarder that no longer works with Priiloader), I would like my Wii to boot "cleanly" (no errortext momentarily on screen during autoboot).
@pikiwiki: well, we added the debug text to USB GX. You cannot disable it for now, but we might be building something in the forwarder to hide it. Downgrading preloader will not help here...

Yo r-win:

okay..so the debug text is visible with the Priiloader-compatible version of the USBLGX forwarder and it's not a Priiloader issue?

Thanks, I have downgraded to Preloader 0.29 and the regular USBLGX forwarder, all of which work sweetly. I will wait for a newer revision that doesn't make my Wii boot like a Windows98 P.C. ;-) .

Adios

So you assume we are gonna remove that text? We like it there

Why my wii with USBLOADERGX doesn't load games >4Gb and CFG usbloader read them? The HDD is on NTFS.
That smells like a bug to me!

this fukker gx loader corrupted my wbsf formatted hdd with 180 games on it. i dont blame hermes cios v5 but this loader project which im leaving to never use again. CFG all the way from now on

@r-win:

You like debug text?.....er, yeah....it's purty all right...

Just kidding! Thanks to everyone working on USBLoader GX, I think it's totally cool (now if only I could Monster Hunter Tri to work with it....)

Ciao.

Monster Hunter Tri? Try some of the different Hermes cIOS. I think if it's something merged with IOS37, then Monter Hunter Tri should work.

How is Hermes v5 support working? Is it perfected or just starting to be implemented? I want to upgrade but as everyone always says, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I did go to NTFS for loading. Not concerned with writing from GX, as everyone should know writing in NTFS is buggy right now. And of course, its faster on pc.

I've tried Hermes rev4 in different configs, never could make it work reliably (green screens, etc.) with MH3 on USBLGX although ULoader worked after some tinkering. I figure I'll just wait til the NTSC-U or PAL version comes out and try it with USBLGX again then.

On another note: is the update-server working? I have been "up to date" with rev874 for some time now, usually there's an update every time I fart (not-infrequent).

O yeah...a minor thingy,..when I use the Theme Downloader it only loads 4 pages of images, although it has downloaded lots of images to the SD-card.

Thanks if anyone gets around to answering some of this,

Ciao!

1. Not the loader corrupted it but you
2. As you are not a pirate you can still use your retail discs

3.it was i who pushed the buttons, yes but not the corrupted wbsf is caused by your loader.
4.i think its easy to be after-wise but it would be informative to add the risk of using gx loader after installing hermes v5 since WFSF was the intended fileformat for backup usage.

ive to say that i have enjoyed using the loader from rev 20 untill now. thanks dev im not bitter

You mean to tell me you had the money for 180 wii games, but not for a simple computer and a backup hard drive. I have to say that I do like using waninkoko v1.5 for installing games on to my wii. However this loader has come along way and has support that the othere loaders could only dream of. I am sorry you have to spend most of a day putting wii games back on your hard drive, But this time when your done just make a backup copy and if you want use waninkoko v1.5 like me to install the will games. And please don't blame the usb loader gx team for what could be a hard drive problem. They can only run for so long and some brake the first week you get them.

You were using a SVN build and not a release I guess? So its your fault.

How does the Numbering Go ? Can you explain a SVN build vs a "release"

Thanks !

a "SVN Build/BETA" is downloaded via Google code or enabling "BETA" update option in the loader settings, which doesnt have full support as its a "BETA" version, a test release version is you want, possibly a RC depending on how the GX team are releasing the loader

A "Release" is an official stable release with most if not all bugs fixed and considered safe for pubic use

the last stable release was 1.0 around r600 and the current SVN is r916, which is a lot of "BETA's"
