Hacking USB Loader GX

Having the following issues:

Installed USB Loader GX on my Wii.
Formatted 200GB Seagate Hard Drive in external Freecom enclosure with WBFS Manager.

If I start USB Loader GX with my Hard Drive on my Wii freezes. If I start it and then turn on my Hard Drive (where it says looking for your slow usb device) it recognises it no problem.

So then I put in a disc to install, it comes up with the ID and then the size. I click install then it just hangs on the USB Loader GX screen.

Any ideas? Icompatible hard drive?

Right!

Figured out what it was.

My external enclosure was not compatible.

I switched my drive to another enclosure and it works perfect.

Can I submit this info to the compatibility database?

I have with my Trekstor DataStation maxi classic 250GB this self problem.
I have cios222v4hermes and cios v14 waninkoko HDD dont work.
SD:/apps/usb loader GX/boot.dol
Im startet from HBC black screen.
Please help

hey guys i installed the forwarder chanel and it s acting up?

when in in the chanel the wii crashes..or when i select a games it crashes to?

the black sreen with the dump txt..

could be 1 of 2 problems with forwarder 1. You may need to use Dopios v8 on ios35 and truncha it or 2. Your Global config on your sd in the config folder needs to be deleted

99.9 % of the time an external enclosure cant be formatted to FAT32 unless the system excepts it as a fixed disk which means it gets formatted to its optimal aka NTFS but this file structure is no good sometimes http://www.compuapps.com/Download/swissknife/swissknife.htm will be able to format it for you as a usb try this first if it fails remove the drive from the enclosure and connect it directly to your computer to be able to format.

edit: i just tried r838 and no crashes

but id like to be on the latest version....

i get the same error with wad channel and dol file.
my wii is softmod 4.2e,
I to would like to be on the latest version....

Did you try deleting the configs files like I asked previously?

its a fresh formated hdd
it loaded 1st time so i installed a game for dvd then that screen happens

so i tried loading the game again but this time the loader will not load the screen crash b4 the loader starts

You don't need to update forwarders.

then why does when i havet it set to auto boot up the dol i have *same size as damn near all of the ones i find* it just goes to a black screen then nothing , never loads anything

That's the point of the forwarder dol though. There's no need to update because it points to the same place every time. Double check your apps/usbloader_gx folders and, it might sound dumb, but make sure the app is boot.dol and not r8xx.dol.

lol yea that is dumb jk.
the method i do is as follows (posting it to see if its the right way)
using preloaderv0.30r3
when preloader loads up choose install file and choose GXforwarder.dol from the root of the sd card.
it installs
make sure auto boot to installed file is on
turn off *just to make sure
turn on ... wait black screen and nothing happens.


anything wrong with that?lol

hmm the rev text says 841 even though im pretty sure im using r843 cause i installed the r843.wad

Hmm. Everything sounds good to me. I would try updating Preloader or going to Priiloader and installing the forwarder dol file again.

the old gxforwarder.dol does not work on preloader 0.3 and above, there is a new dol for that.

Nope not new versions you need waninkoko's origanal 1.5 to get all of game i just keep a copy on my sd just for that

If you dont have a truncha enabled ios35 alot of apps wont work !!

This isn't a problem with ios 35 not being trucha enabled.
