USB Loader GX r664 - Click HERE to download

Changes (copied from Google project page):
  • little change to the bootup (might fix some startup problems)

Both DOL and ELF versions included in archive

!DOWNLOAD AND USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Note: If you are going to 'test' these revisions and you're having some issues, first please start from scratch. Backup your SD card, wipe your SD card, and start again. If you're not at least prepared to try this first, please don't download and test these revisions, stick to the released stable versions. Thank you.

Those with multiple partitions should try this revision.

Nice shoot, this release works great with my 2 partition HDD, cIOS 14 and firmware 4.0E.
Now going back to 4.1E "Waninkoko" ;-)

OK as I am a big new to this please if I sound dumb just let me know.

I have installed the latest rev 664 and am trying to run it with cIOS 222 so that I can play rock band and stuff. Now when I load the USB Loader it asks which cIOS I want to use I choose 222 and then it loads. The rockband gear is getting power now which it didn't before which is a good sign. But now the only problem is that the loader is only showing me one game. Anybody have an idea what I am doing wrong? If you need more info just let me know and I will try to tell you what you need.

That's happened to me a few times before, I just turned everything off (Wii & USB), rebooted, waited a few for the USB drive then entered into the USB Loader GX menu after a minute and should be resolved.

Wow! Only 3 revisions away from the Special Ozzy Osbourne Edition revision 666.

Why can't it be the special Varg Vikernes version?

I could settle for a special Iron Maiden: Number of the Beast edition.

Or the Rev 666 Hope And Change edition?

We should all be so proud to be a part of beta testing the 1.0v but a 2.0v is long over due I would say. Whether it actually goes 2.0v or not I want to thank the many people responsible for the code and the testing and yes even some of the funny responses others and myself have received for having blond moments every now and then.

KUDOS to the community, you sarcastic bastages,

Thank you very much. It is now loading the menu correct. My rock band guitar is even picking up the signal from the wireless receiver BUT it is not picking up a controller port. Meaning one of the four lights to tell you what controller it is is not lighting up. Tried it anyways in the game and a no go, acts as if it is not connected. Anybody have any ideas as to what is causing this?

I'm hoping v2.0 brings the much anticipated feature:

channel animations instead of boxarts (read the Opening.BNR from the ISO)

Obviously when this is implemented the entire layout will need a redesign, which would of course warrant the v2.0 numbering, otherwise it should just go to v1.1.

Can you activate the 4 wiimotes in the wii menu before you go into the loader without the guitar hooked up ????

Can you activate all 4 inside the GX menu before entering the game without the guitar hooked up ????

I wonder if the guitar takes away 1 of your controller options or just takes its place ???

Just wondering.

It basically has the code already:

R652 - changelog
adds a dynamic ramdisk. Right now its not used. It can be use to save temporary
files e.g. to extract of opening.bnr[/p]

Ok a little experimenting get the following results.

Can you activate the 4 wiimotes in the wii menu before you go into the loader without the guitar hooked up ????
Yes I can.

Can you activate all 4 inside the GX menu before entering the game without the guitar hooked up ????
Yes I can.

The guitar seems to do just that. When I run it off my original disk it grabs one of the controler ids once you get into the menu of the game. Now when I run it from the backup the wireless module shows the solid light on it, basically saying I see the guitar and the guitar does the same except that it doesn't grab a controller id. Now when playing on the original disk if you ever loose connectivity you just hit the rest button on the wireless receiver and it usually comes back right away, but in the backup version when I hit the reset button the light just goes off completely. Tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, turning the guitar on and off but no luck.

Does anyone have rock band working while using the HDD backup?

Wishlist:

* texture swap support from gecko os.
* switch/choose between 3d/2d covers and choose between fading or instantanious showup i think it won't coming because it would cause more folders and more files on the sd.
* implement a switch to select the USB (1 or 2 or both) port for loading devicenot possible with waninkokos cIOS r13
* download themes from internet with loader and automatically apply them
* searching for games via onscreen keyboard
* customizable button mapping via config (for install/delete/parentcontroll etc.)
* channel animations instead of boxarts (read the Opening.BNR from the ISO)
* change keymapping on the d-pad
* set the behav. of the "Wii"button in settings (to HBC or Wii Menu)

These 2 should be at the top of the list for me.

* customizable button mapping via config (for install/delete/parentcontroll etc.)
* channel animations instead of boxarts (read the Opening.BNR from the ISO)

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
