Thanks - I don't exactly know how to compile (though I am guessing once I know, it's easy), and generally people are pretty quick to publish them to the various websites/share-sites.

Im not sure if this is a feasible wish for the wishlist, but maybe get some support for a Guitar Hero controller, that way I dont have to take my remote out to select a game.

Although I can live with it, just a wish.

huh? I am able to do anything with the drum, maybe you mean guitar? i havent tried it but using the little joystick you should be able to launch your game

Correct, I am not able to use the joystick on the guitar. I have to remove the Wii remote to select a game for now.

It's funny... my GH World Tour controller doesn't work at all, but my GH3 controller, the strum bar controls the up and down scroll of the list... very weird that they don't have the same behavior.

But in any case you DO NOT have to take your controller out. Just use the D-pad on the controller to select your game and then hit A..... then hit A again to launch.

Here's rev271:
1. Added custom images for game setting screen (you could use a different
background for game settings now. You need to have gamesettings_background.png
and bg_options_gamesettings.png

2. Added custom game list color (gametext_color = r, g, b)

New revisions made me thing of a suggestion. Maybe thats exactly what is implemented and I am misunderstanding. But could there be a per game main loader background? For instance you select Super Mario Galaxy and the background of the loader switched to a Super Mario Galaxy wallpaper? Dunno just an idea that might be cool.

Neither on of these seem to be working right

gamesettings_background.png is the background of game setting screen (new)

bg_options_gamesettings.png is the background of game setting list (new)

came here to post about the same issue ^

neither bg_options_gamesettings.png or the original bg_options_settings.png (which has been listed in the wiki for some time) is working.

the graphics in question are the dialogue box with the wrench on it... we're also going to have to think about adding the new:
page1.png
page1d.png
page2.png
page2d.png

which are the tabs on the side of the box to change settings pages. in fact maybe this is why the feature isn't currently theme-able..... but if that's the case it should be taken off the wiki

Hi,

at first I wanna thank everybody working on this great piece of software, great work!!!

Here are some ideas for future versions:

- Theme selectable
- Update Button
- individual backgrund images for each game, every time one game is selected the backgrund pic changes along with
the cover of the game (e.g. a screenshot of the game or typical character of each game..)
- individual backgrund music (jingle) of each game
- A-Z Index, Genre....

These are only ideas...

Great Job (again!)!!!!

PFC.

LOL
You have a good loader on your hands here guys, but you really need to reign this thing back in.
You've got it doing things that are whims for a few people.
You should concentrate on making it look better overall rather than introducing things that only create new bugs.
Or at least test it fully after each change before releasing it. thus negating the need for so many releases!

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
