Strange... if I boot ULGX from the forwarder everything is cool, if I boot it from the HBC it tells me "error nintendont requires AHB access bla bla bla" if I try to boot gamecube games. As I said, I have no such problems with the forwarder.

ULGX is v. 1260 nintendont is latest, something.400 I believe (just updated)

Rev1260 is having problems with The Force Unleashed II in Emunand, shows at times duplicate title/channel or if it isn't that it doesn't shows it on the available game list, however via search function it does pop up

check meta.xml file in your apps/usbloader_gx folder.
look for this line <ahb_access/>
if it's missing then get the meta.xml file for usbloader_gx

the only other problem would be if you're using a extremely old version of the HBC that doesn't have AHB access.
the forwarder does have AHB access so it's carried over to usbloader gx when you launch it.

More info, USBloader GX is having problems categorizing the game, aside duplicate data, it isn't showing where it should be:

The game list is odered from Zero to Z, but SW:TFU II & Rodea: The Sky Warrior both show up before 007: Golden eye.

Whoah, for some reason my meta.xml file was completely empty... it wasn t like that before updating, 100% sure about that. Replaced it with a proper one. Thanks man :)

it's been a long time I didn't see this thread popup in the "last active threads", I guess I always checked at the wrong time.

is It too late for implement "Icon/channel Carousel" on ULGX?
That's probably too hard for me. I never messed with the themes and graphics before.

How do you make The last story work on this?
You have nothing to do. It should just work. I played that game without issues and without any special settings.

I guess update function had a write issue or download issue and left the opened file empty. It can happen with the boot.dol file too.
When nintendont could be updated from the loader, I added a check for the downloaded file and restored the old dol if needed. Maybe it could be used for the loader update mechanism too. but it's maybe too rare to even need it. I guess nobody encountered the nintendont update rescue function.

Sorry that I haven't touch the loader since the start of the year.
I hope I will look into it again this summer, when I'll be in holidays.

@Cyan , sorry I haven't been around lately. I kinda fell out of hacking the games and have been spending my time actually playing them. Crazy right? Lol. Anyway, I had a quick question for you or for anyone else who would know the answer.

Does setting the private server option to connect to Wiimmfi work on WiiWare games? I'm beginning to think they don't but just wanted to know if I was doing something wrong. The game I am trying to play online is Dr. Mario. Thanks.

Nope. The autopatcher would have to be updated to unpack the .app and repack it. :/ I just patched the WW games that work on Wiimmfi manually.

Ah ok. Thanks for explaining it. I still have all the wads so it wouldn't be hard for me to patch them. Would you be able to link me to a guide that tells me what I need to do? Thanks.

maybe it's due to the same issue than WiiWare not working with other settings (ocarina, video, all which needs to patch the dol, etc.)
wiimmfi server is only (if it didn't change since I added that option) just a string patch in the game's executable to replace "https://nintendont.net" with "http://wiimmfi.de"
The wiiware should have that string in its executable too.

Maybe you can try editing the channel launch method in the loader settings (normal/boot.dol)

@Clutz450 I don't know of any tutorials but there is a thread on Wii-Homebrew about it. I used the utility (and required archive application) from there.

If you're using NEEK/EmuNAND it's a lot easier as you don't have to rebundle the title.

@Cyan The problem with patching WiiWare for private servers is the 00000001.app is a U8 archive so the nintendowifi.net text isn't clear to be patched. That's probably why the other patches don't work either.

@Cyan anyway to help you debug why Star Wars The Force Unleashed II pops up twice? (literally two channel screens that both lead to SW:TFU II)
The only reason I can see why it would show up twice is if you had the game in your wbfs folder twice. Have you tried running them both? Do they both work? If you save in one then open up the other one is your save there? If you want, you can try backing up that game to your computer and then use the uninstall button in the games settings to uninstall once odd them from the loader. See if that makes one of them go away. Then try playing through the one that's left and see if it still works.

I don't have it installed twice on the EHDD, I perform all my installs with Wii Backup Manager and it says there is only one SWTFU II, both work and saves work on both. The uninstaller does not works with SWTFU II. I tested it when my dump came out as a bad one and even then the problem was present.

Have you tried deleting the game manually and see if it still shows up? If is gone then try reinstalling it again and see if it shows 2 again.

I did so via WBM to get rid of the bad dump, then I got an .iso from a friend and I installed the game via Wii Backup Manager. Duplicate channel. I tested it also on my uncle Wii, duplicate channel.

The loader is filtering games based on the TitleID and should prevent duplicate ID listed at the same time.
Maybe there's a bug in that filtering system, OR instead of showing another game it displays twice the same one, OR the ID in the folder doesn't match the ID in the filename?
All three ideas shouldn't be triggered, but we never know about bugs :P

/wbfs/Star Wars The Force Unleashed II [SFUE64]/SFUE64.wbfs

Things to test to debug it:
- Check the two iteration have the same TitleID inside the loader (see at the end of the post)
- Could you verify the TitleID match both folder and filname?
- if it does, could you rename the titleID in the folder+filname to another one (anything else, but not a game's ID you already have) ?
- if it does, could you rename the titleID in the folder+filname to another one (now test a game's ID you already have! you will see if the duplicate detection algorithm works fine)
In each case, check how many games you have listed in the loader and see if it matches the ones on your HDD.

Also, you talked about an installed channel.
You mean the "animated banner" you see when you are in banner layout mode?
Do you see two games when using another layout ? (list/wall/carrousel)
Are you sure they have the same ID in the loader? (you can display the TitleID in the list layout, by going into the GUI settings and using "both" option)

sorry my post is upside down a little, I gave idea in random orders this time.
