My Wii stopped powering on recently, so I bought a replacement. Previously, I was able to use USB Loader GX, with Wii games on an external hard drive.

On the replacement console, I installed Homebrew and loaded USB Loader GX. It listed the games on the hard drive, but wouldn't load any of them. It just took me back to the Homebrew apps screen.

I hurriedly followed some instructions in another thread (load "d2x v8 final" in slot 249, base 56, version 21008) and then realised it was probably some bespoke instructions for that particular issue.

Now, when I load USB Loader GX, it shows the "games" available as Forecast Channel, Mii Channel, etc. Not the games on my external hard drive.

Any advice would be appreciated. SysCheck is as follows:

USBLoaderGX > Settings > Reset (located on page 3 or 4)
it resets the global settings only.
it doesn't reset the game's individual settings, favorites, title cache, or categories. doesn't delete language, covers or themes (but set them back to default)

another drastic way to reset everything is to completely delete the loader's folder and put a new one.
sd:/apps/usbloader_gx/
