Okay, here is my situation: I have been using USB Loader GX without problems for ages, but recently I have experienced problems after updating all my CIOS. Point form:

- Couldn't play Metroid Other M because it blanked screen, so I did some research. I updated all my CIOS (and everything else) via Pimp My Wii program

- Almost everything works fine now, except the following:
a) When I boot up USB Loader GX, there are only 5 games initially shown on the GUI (I have about 50). After clicking the "unlock icon", all of the games show up as normal. None of the games are set as special "parental levels" or anything - this just seems to be an odd glitch with regards to the default parental settings, and one that never happened before.
b) I can no longer "exit to loader". Before, when I would exit a game, it would return to the loader menu. Now it exits completely (turns off if I press off, or exits to Wii menu if I press home and exit)

I did also update system menu, but I have tried re-downgrading to 3.2u, and these 2 issues remain. All other functioning of my Wii remains okay, and I can still play all my games, but have to click the "unlock" icon first, which is annoying.

Any tips? Thanks in advance.

im assuming that in the usb loader gx settings, you have the parental controls set to unlocked, and no restriction. not just in the wii settings

Yes, no matter what I do with the parental controls within USB Loader GX (and yes, I know what I'm doing in there), the settings get reset every time I start it, so that I have to click the unlock icon in order to see all of my games. I have tried this on over 10 different versions of gx, formatting memory stick etc., and it's still the same story.

There is one thing that I have not yet tried, and intend to do tonight. That is, to adjust the parental settings in the actual Wii System Menu, which according to some, fixed this glitch when they subsequently loaded GX.

All in all, I really don't understand why they even have that parental controls crap in this program. All I've read is problems with it, and does anyone actually use it? They would have to a) have kids, b) be too cheap to buy actual games, and c) actually care what their kids play. Sure, there's some that fill all 3 categories, but not enough to warrant such a thoroughly shitty implementation of a feature.

I can confirm this. I had the same problem but after enabling parental control on Wii system itself, the parental control feature unlocks itself automatically on USB loader GX. Thanks!

Reading the parental control of the wii is now dropped by USBloaderGX.

The loader use it's own parental system starting from revision 1015.
It prevent the need to reboot the Wii and go to the settings to set the parental control, as it can be done directly in the loader.

Even personal checks have your routing #, and your account # on them, but still not much can do with that info alone.
