Hacking USB LOADER 1.4

Two days away and there is already usbloader 1.4.

I don't get the game pictures to work...


root\usb-loader\covers doesn't seem to work

Games Working with USB Loader 1.1 not working with 1.4

I installed USB Loader 1.4 and cIOS36_rev10 on Pal Wii 4.0 (Waninkoko updater)

Excite truck freezes on bootup with green screen.

With USB Loader 1.1 plays just fine.

Reformatted drive with WBFS Manager 2.2.2 and re-installed Excite Truck.

Again the same.

USB Loader 1.1 plays it, 1.4 no.

So, I don't think it's cIOS problem but a Loader one.

I also tested Techmu, it plays fine on both versions.


Unfortunately I don't have time to test other games, have to go to work.

Excite truck works ok for me on both 1.1 and 1.4 but i'm on 3.2E

if your on cIOS rev9 the covers wont work - you need rev 10 for that - i had the same issue.

Well, I don't know, but the thing is that with USB Loader 1.1 and cIOS36_rev9 all games are working 100%. More than 40 games tested.

It's the first time a game is not working with USB Loader.

theres a few people already looking at trying to get EXT2 working for the file system , mainly because we cant store the images on the HD in its present format and it would be handy to keep the images on the same drive as the game - would make a wad like the one there amazing if everything was also on the HD or SD card with the game on it

Who are these people looking at getting ext2 working?

Can you use the 1.4 loader without installing rev10?

In just the previous page your question is answered.

You can use 1.4 without the new cIOS, but you'll encounter problems, like not being able to put images for the games.

Now, if someone could confirm game compatibility problems with 1.4 that weren't on 1.1.....

Is there any way to save the choice of either SD or HDD without having to select it each time where you want to load the ISOs.

Hello!

I got som problems to install games using the wii in USB loader 1.4

Stands in 0% then a message:

wbfs panic: cannot modify the partition table. Please report bug.


Its nothing wrong whit my Targe USB HDD 300GB, i have using windows to transfer iso from the computer, thats works great and all game works.

Someone know whats wrong?

hm...usb loader doesn't show me any game covers, but i have them in root:\usb-loader\covers and named *GameID*.png =/

I tried using 1.4 without installing rev10 and the game would freeze with a black screen after the wiimote warning screen. After I installed rev10 they loaded up fine.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the covers should be in root:\images\

You really only have any right to complain about anything when your either

1. Pay for it
2. Do it yourself

other than that , you have 2 choices

1. Dont use it

on this newest loader, it tells me i need to format the drive, its already wbfs and i have a lot of games on it, do i need to start from scratch with the new loader?
