I realize that USB flash/pen/jump drives work with the PS2, as, you can download cheats from the internet onto your drive and play them on your PS2 with a cheat device. However, is there a way, a program or a device or something, that allows you to use a regular jump drive to make backups of your memory card data that you can transfer over to PC Hard Drive and vice versa? So far, the only similar solution I can find is Max Drive.

Saves go to your Memory Stick (Pro) Duo.
Pull MS out of PSP.
Get card reader.
Plug card reader to PC.
Put MS in card reader.
YAY!

btw, I thought that there's "nooooo way" you can afford a PSP.

currently Max Drive is the only accessible alternative for booting things off a USB Flash Drive. There are other solutions such as HD Loader but those are solely used for playing ISOs off USB hard disks.

The Max Unlimited (i think) is the only way currently to do the cheats and backups. There might be some homebrew applications but I don't think those are heavily supported considering how easy it is to download the Max ISO.

Hope that helps.
