Hey guys.
My Wii's disc drive broke awhile ago (It will pretty much never spin and when it does it doesn't read dvd's right), n I sent it into Nintendo to get it fixed, but they wouldn't because I had had homebrew on it. But before I sent it in I updated it n lost my homebrew channel. So I took apart my friends Wii to barrow his optical drive to put homebrew back on my Wii, so I could play my games off a USB loader. But the problem is whenever my disc drive is in the Wii it gives an error and says to eject the disc. But whenever my friends working disc drive is in the Wii it runs the backups fine.
So why does is a working optical drive needed to run games off of a external hard drive?
And does anyone know a way around this?
