Uploading LARGE file

Hey, I'm trying to upload a 4GB file to RapidShare, but when I go to upload it, the upload button turns into a please wait button, and there is not progress bar as there usually would be. If I can't get this file onto a site, whats the best way to get it to my friend?

We tried that, but the tracker wasn't working, or I was doing something wrong. Torrent is my last resort.

Ahh, I thought that was directed at split files only. So Upload: Unlimited! just means I can upload as many times as I want to the site?

Simplest method I have found for sharing files is set up your own ftp service. There are programs for just about every operating system that will host an ftp service. If you are concerned about security you can even set up an account for your friend.
