Hacking Upgrading from 6.20 PRO-C

I just got PSP 3000 model 03g from someone else, currently it's installed with 6.20 PRO-C, I'm wondering if I should upgrade to newer CFW?

I tried to play some games in it, but it crashed a lot, some games doesn't start at all but some run just fine. Is it due to old CFW?

I think 6.20 is as far as you can go on 3000 without losing permamod (so you won't have to launch cfw exploit every time). 6.20 pro-c is updated otherwise, like have all the features and can run all the games.
If you having troulbe with games maybe you should reset the settings and delete all the plugins.

Just stay on 6.20 and drop a version.txt of 6.61 into your seplugins folder and activate "use version.txt" inside of the recovery menu.

Or use Infinity for 6.61 to keep CFW permanent.

I've been on 6.20 pro-c for at least 5 years now. never found a reason to bother upgrading

you just delete the plugins. as for reseting stuff, there should be options somewhere in the menu, won't be able to remember specific path
