Ok, so still have my old Jap PS3 phat, and its being useless to me (ie not loading any of the games i have, just throwing me an error code)
so im thinking of finally updating to see if it will work on 3.41 (if i really want linux, then asbestos will come into play... but that's unlikely)
what i really want to know is are there actually specific updates for regions, because according to this link here each region has its own specific download, but apparently apart from the EU/US/JP folder/directory change, all other info is the same.
can i use any of these...? can a ps3 be (accentually/purposely) region changed? anything else i should know before updating?
(i have a dump of dev_flash1/2/3 also)
