    Hello everyone,
I've seen so many topics here regarding being unable to boot CFW after updating, etc. I never expected something similar would happen to me as I'm always so careful. I use SX-OS and have my switch on OFW 6.0.0 and used ChoiDujourNX to upgrade to 6.2.0. All this worked fine - I booted into CFW on 6.2.0 and played backups with no issues for weeks. (Note, I've never set up any form of EmuNand, console was always on sleep mode when not playing).

I then decided to update my SX-OS version to the latest 2.5.2 so I shut down the console completely (not just sleep mode, but powered off), loaded the updated boot.dat onto the SD Card (which is ExFAT, I have the update for that on the switch, has worked flawlessly for months) then placed it back into the switch, put the SX-OS dongle into the bottom as usual, the jig into the right side as usual and pressed the volume up + power as usual. Nothing happens....no black screen, no splash screen, no light up at all...just...nothing. Is it stuck in AutoRCM mode? Did I miss something? I do believe I enabled autoRCM when updating the firmware via ChoiDujourNX, but the usual method of booting CFW worked after that, so I'm unsure why it isn't this time.

Hm...it's a high quality 128GB SD Card, it hasn't given me issues in the past, but I shall try reformatting it and see if it makes a difference. Will keep the thread updated.

try holding the power button down for 20 seconds, even if you've already dome that once, also charge your SX dongle using the usb cable from your pc for a few seconds and see if it boots then,

I'm backing up the SD Card now to then reformat it and see what happens. When you say hold the power button for 20 seconds, is that while holding the volume up button with the SD Card inserted to launch CFW? or hold the power button with nothing else and attempting to boot into OFW? (which would burn fuses I believe)

no hold just the power button down for 20 seconds to make sure it is off, put your jig in so you dont burn fuses, charge your dongle for a few seconds using your pc, insert dongle into your switch and then hold the volume up button and press the power button to see if it powers on then.

I attempted this - both with the dongle and jig in the switch, and without it. The screen doesn't even light up - no logos or splashscreens of any kind.

Just finished formatting the SD Card on ExFAT as it was originally and copied all files and games back onto the SD Card. Still unable to boot unfortunately. I'm unsure what to try next...

See if your dongle is still working. Connect it via microusb cable and see if it retains a charge. It might be the cause and not sending payload to the switch.

Better yet try to see if tegrarcm will work. If ut does then bye bye dongle. It happened to me yesterday.

When I connect the dongle to the PC, it does light up. How long must I keep it charging? Also, in case that doesn't work, could you explain how to launch the payload via tegrarcm? I've never used it before and often skimmed over it while browsing these forums as I've never needed it before.

    Thank you

For me it took 5-10 seconds for light to turn from yellow to green, i also made sure my switch was charged for at least 1 hour (after force shutting off auto-rcm via 20 second trick)

Happened to me also. What i did was plug my NSW using a USB-C cable in my PC, hold the Power button for 12sec so i could enter in RCM using TegraRcmGUI then in usb mass storage mode i have deleted the sxos file that was in the root( i don't recall it's name right now) and replaced for the 2.5.2 version downloaded from the website, rebooted holding the power button and using the TegraRcmGUI again injected the payload and it started to work again.

he hasn't responded recently, i assume it was just a low battery auto rcm issue? I would avoid restarting switch with auto rcm when its lower than like 30% battery, i'm always scared it's gonna drain the last bit of juice and force me to re-charge

No, I'm still here - just at work. I will attempt to charge the dongle tonight and keep the thread updated.

Also, the switch itself is always docked; I rarely ever play it portable. So I'm sure the battery was full.

Edit: (As to not double-post) Success! I charged the dongle via the cable for about 10 minutes, held the power button on the switch for probably closer to 40 seconds, then attempted to boot into the SX-OS menu. It worked! Thanks so much everyone for your help, couldn't have done it without you :D
