I've been looking for a good bit, only to find little to nothing.

I'm looking for a recently (( Within the last 12 months )) updated SNES emulator. Even on the "Recommended" list, those were last updated in 2009!

I figure that the SNES needs some major love with the PSP, as it can emulate a lot of titles at 100%, but not on the SNES.

Yeah, but updates usually mean faster games.

wut?

The emulator works, and it works well. Very few games experience slow down. The only notable one I can think of off the top of my head is Super Mario RPG, and that one is for obvious reasons.

Well, ZSNES is perfect on most PCs, IMHO, while the emulators for the PSP need to be constantly tweaked or modified for certain games, especially the SNES emulator.

I'm sorry, but if the GBA emulator runs games better, then that speaks for itself.

Is your arguing about it an analogy to you saying there hasn't been any updates for TYL?

actually, he is just giving you an educational view of how the involvement of year does not equate the point of where it runs fast or not. the actual problem lies in that snes psp emulation development has never been updated since. so reasonably saying that if it might happen a shift of contribution towards the social community would be to what you are in dire need of. but if you want a better emulator that badly i guess you can also try to design an emulator with better support

If most SNES games run slow on your emulator, you're using the wrong one or a bad configuration.

The download on the wiki is the one I provided, it's the version and default settings I use, and it plays most games at full speed (the exceptions being Super Mario RPG and Star Fox, for obvious reasons).

Most of the emulators work well with the PSP with few minor problems, the only one that needs constant tweaking (From what I know) is the N64 emulator.

Though they haven't done much with that one either.

honest, this is it

Snes9xTYLmecm 11-27-09 -> DOWNLOAD Fullspeed on most games with some hacks.

unless you are one picky whiner about the starfox and mode 7 games, you won"t find any better

And the main hack that's needed is simple (or ignore) palette writes, and only in some games (and even in those games, only in certain places).

I probably need to make a video of it. Most people use shitty SNES emulators or ones that come with really crappy default settings so they run slow. :\

EDIT: The capture isn't fullspeed with RJL and it'd probably be too awkward and shaky to do it with my cam by hand.

EDIT2: Recorded a video anyways, showed that Super Mario RPG runs full speed most of the time, and that Star Fox even runs (though of course not full speed), also explained a little about the hacks menu and palette writes.

EDIT3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KJg_lXu1BU

I'll put it and the info in the Wiki.
