    hmm,
I have not been banned, well not sure if I am/was.
I don't use online hardly at all, 0%.
    only for updating luma/system/homebrew.

does the ban prevent updating 3ds fw or updating luma or updating homebrew apps?

I don't use Eshop or such.

how can I tell if I'm banned?

See if you can access your friends list, I think.

Try opening the friend list, if 002-0102 shows up then you're banned.

Unless they're getting a ban error, told to 'suck it' by Nintendo, and used google to find out how to unban. And ended up here because all the public seeds are banned.

Not sure about the FW update, but Luma and homebrew app still works, you can't use online in games or some Nintendo apps.
You need to go online in a game or go to Friend List (I think that going online in a game is more accurate) and if you receive an error message, you are banned.

Streepass does not have anything to do with the ban, right?
I just want to know if I can still use my spillpass when I am banned.

I think, Friend List is more safe.

dang, not banned yet but i seriously regret having modded my main 3ds now, as the nnid on it has a lot of legit purchases.

it was falling apart, too, so I'm thinking of doing a formal transfer with only legit content to a new unmodded 3ds; this gives you a new friendseed, correct? i know there are no guarantees, but historically system transfers from banned to unbanned consoles work, correct?

The community is suffering and the opportunists are scamming.
Gotta love having a means to buy more 3ds by selling a means to unban other 3ds'

Yeah, it should considering this is not a NNID ban.

We don't know if all of our NNIDs are flagged now though, I really don't think so, but it's a possibility.

hmm, well I use online eshop/nintendo etc on my 3ds 0%,
only. ever for updating stuff no game or such.
my 3ds work is mostly offline, so I'm good from that aspect, I guess?

also if your emunand has an NND linked to it, but never use, only on switch, can you get banned for that?

I have the feeling dumped CIAs have the fault, I have a weird theory:

Every Game Card has a unique Serial number, ID, or call how you want it, said number, which of course passes over with the cia, now, lets take for example MHXX, the CIA we all know and use probably came from just a single original cart, in the end it would show as if we all are using the same cart at t he same time (meaning that one CIA of course)

I still have not checked to see if I am banned. Would checking friends list increase the chance of a ban if I launch it?

I'm not sure Nintendo would do anything with blocking NNIDs over this
They got a LOT of eshop games coming out, especially for the Switch, and I'm sure even they know most of the people they're banning still buy games properly
(Not to mention, it would be bad enough that people with pre-owned 3DS consoles that have been hacked in the past (but don't have any hacks on them currently) are probably getting banned too, but for said innocent people to ALSO lose NNID functionality across ALL consoles would be a huge huge problem)

You could have a point, although each cartridge is practically identical anyway. The title ID never changes, and I don't believe the serial number is actually burned into the .cia itself (I'm probably wrong about that, but still).

Nope. Checked it 30+ times over the course of over 12h now, still not banned.

I'm gonna get a Switch soon enough, haven't been banned yet, is there any reason to use the same NNID on both systems or should I just make a new one for the Switch, just to be safe?
