Homebrew Update 10.5!!!

It can't be true because when in sysNAND, that title isn't there to do the checking. If it's in emuNAND, any NAND read/write IO is redirected to the SD, so that can't be done.

So, your EmuNAND won't be marked as long as you don't go into the eShop on 10.5 EmuNAND? I've played Badge Arcade today after updating to 10.5, but does this still risk my EmuNAND getting marked?

These were my thought exactly and went straight to the eshop and afterwards went online on a game(Pokemon Y)(first time online in a game on emuNAND) just for a "complete ban". I call this BS.

Unless you really need eShop access right now (and I believe you should still be able to spoof it with HANS), there's no real reason to update.
Just wait until it's clear what the new title does.

well i already updated before I saw the smea screengrab.... but i just hate teh hassle restoring a back up emunand since i have like 50 CIA games.

I updated my Emunand but I'm now stuck at a black screen. Rxtools via .3dsx.
I backed up my Emunand about 2-3 weeks ago. Is it still good?

And what's the problem with that?
As long as you have also a backup of your SDCard in case something messes up you should be fine.

Okay so I basically got what that TLS certificate does.
It basically "marks" the EmuNAND as an EmuNAND. When in SysNAND, this title gets checked along with the flash memory, which has a unique ID as well as a Nintendo specific common ID. The SD card doesn't have this Nintendo specific ID, so if you go into the eShop your EmuNAND WILL get marked.
They're going to swing the banhammer soon. Don't update to 10.5!

If that's true then that sucks. It could also mean no more cia update/dlc files due to risk of ban from going on the eshop using emunand i'm thinking.

That sounds suspect to me, an emuNAND is an exact copy of the 3DS' internal flash memory, so how could it be missing this "specific Nintendo ID"?

Agreed. An emunand updated through system settings (NOT VIA CIA FILES) can be flashed to sysnand and the 3ds runs just fine.

I'm not updating until this eshop rumor is figured out. I have Tubehax DNS set up but the update still downloads and gives me the nag.. it's getting on my nerves. I have it set exactly as it is on smea's site and it tries to update anyway.

White would probably be even harder to see. Why do you even need to change the font colors anyways? Leave it at the default, that way it'll be easy to see to everyone.

I think they're using the dark theme. Text is white by default

That's cuz of Menuhax, Just delete and reinstall it and everything should work without a problem
