Hardware Unusual USB Detection Issue

Hi,

Weird issue here. Switch charges and outputs HDMI fine, but is never detected by Windows nor dongle. Can rcm no problem. Never hear the USB device connection sound. USB port has been replaced.

What gives?

Get TegraRCMGUI and install the drivers.

I have done that, several times. Tried various cables and even bought a new one with the resistor. Also, tried various ports on the computer. It never shows in Device Manager nor does it even come up as unrecognized.

Going to try OTG to my phone as a last resort. Not holding out hope though.

And OTG does not work. Tries to charge the Switch and that is all. I am at a loss.

My switch isn't recognized over usb either, but I can inject payloads with the RCMLoader Jig. Don't know why this works but it's better than nothing

Sounds like somethings up with your USB-C port on the switch, you said it was replaced, I'd bet that the connection has come loose in some way.

RCMLoader Jig does not work either. Nothing happens when going into RCM, just a blank screen. Yes, it is an unpatched version.

Sounds like somethings up with your USB-C port on the switch, you said it was replaced, I'd bet that the connection has come loose in some way.

That is the weird part, symptoms are the same before the port replacement. I am thinking it could be the USB chip itself.

Manually installed driver. TegraSmashRCM just says waiting for device.
