Hello,
I'm wondering if there is a program to edit .nds.sav files. I want to play Mario Kart via wireless connection with an other DS, and we are using the same .sav file that has all tracks unlocked, with the same User name. I want to change one user name so the two players can be better distinguished.

go to options or so and you can change your name.
A universal savegame editor is not possible

Simple enough change your name...

OK thanks, I was just wondering because there are also games which do not allow a new username after set-up.

It's not so easy, since many games use checksums and the like to detect corruption in their save (which will also detect your changes.)

Make sure you back up the save before doing anything, at least.

Yes, I changed a byte in a save file with a hex editor and the game advises that the save file is corrupt, so I am looking for a utility to create a new CRC when I change a byte in the file. Any one know of anything?
