Okay. So heres my problem. I had my wii softmodded (not sure which menu version) and my sister updated to 4.2u which deleted hbc channel, and burned copies no longer work.

So i followed this guide http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=171901

got through all the steps and my burned copies still don't work..

I also installed preloader (which i'd like to figure out how to uninstall as well)

So basically what i want to do is uninstall all the soft modding stuff i put on there and bring it back to factory default. Don't care about softmodding again, i just want it all back to factory.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks!

Simply update to 4.2 again, that should uninstall everything(except bootmii if you have that as well).

Okay. I went to update in the settings menu, and it sits on "testing connection"

So i went to internet settings and tried to reset all my settings, but it still hangs on "testing connection" doesn't freeze, just hangs there.

Any ideas?

Ninty servers are a bit naff at the mo, could be that. I had to offline update to 4.2E because of their servers

So i should just keep trying throughout the day then? Just hoping it's not my wii that is giving me this problem.

I recently un-modded my wii restoring a nand dump before the hacking (and then updating), any chance you could do that?

I'll go attempt that now and report back in a bit.

Okay. So i got the nand backup installed. Everything but dvdx and HBC channel are uninstalled. Can i format the wii to get rid of these?

just format the wii to get rid of EVERYTHING but its not able to comeback unless you wanna hack it again
