Homebrew uninstall b9s and reinstall

I got a n3ds with b9s installed. I want to move the content from my sd card on a new 3ds to an ever bigger card. I read somewhere that i can just copy paste. But I can't get it to work.
I've tried so many versions of msd card that I am tired of buying more. Don't even start on FAT32 and it has to be SDHC since XC is not supprted. Use this program and that program. I can't get it to work.

But yesterday i helped someone else with installing b9s. And this time i took one of the card I couldn't get to work, and I used that for installing. Of course, now he got a 32 GB card in his n3ds, and im stuck on nothing ( well less).

So now i want to know, i can see from https://3ds.guide/uninstall-cfw.html that it is possible to uninstall b9s. But i can't find the answer to the following question. If I purge my n3ds for b9s, and remember that it is on 11.5.x.xE, will I also loose my chance to install b9s again?

it just won't read anything on the card. If i go into gm9 the content is there. but on the hompepage of the 3ds, it's not showing

If you have a flash card that's compatible with ntrboot, you can do just about anything you want. It's not going to help your issue though. There are dozens of posts that tell you what tools to use to format (including tools on the 3ds itself) and in what format (and cluster size) it should be in. Windows default for larger cards is exfat, and that will never work. If you use an emunand for some reason, drag&drop will never work either (for your emunand). You need to use emunandtool for that.

Is it showing nothing or just some games? If just some you might have more than 300 games in you're homenenu and that's why they don't load.

Is it showing nothing or just some games? If just some you might have more than 300 games in you're homenenu and that's why they don't load.

This has nothing to do with B9S, please don't waste your time troubleshooting in the dark.
Now why can't you format your SD card to FAT32? What is the brand and are you sure the SD card is legit/not corrupt? Is the formatting process giving you an error? What program on you using to format it?

No, it is not possible to uninstall B9S, the only option is to restore a clean NAND backup, or one with A9LH installed.
As the others have said, to transfer your data, all you have to do is to simply copy *all* the files from your previous SD card to the new one.
However, as you stated (and it seems like it's your problem), SDXC (64GB+) cards can't be used without formatting them first, because they are, by default, formatted to exFAT, and the 3DS can only read from FAT32 volumes. To format your card to FAT32, you can either use Windows explorer, or if you want to use your 3DS, GodMode9 (put the .firm into your /luma/payloads/ folder, start your 3DS while holding start, launch GM9, eject the SD card, insert new SD, home button, extra options, format SD (without EmuNAND), and auto block size).

you mention ".firm", what excactly do you mean. I haven't tried this method yet

Download the latest release's zip file, extract it, and copy "GodMode9.firm" to the /luma/payloads/ folder of the SD card you're currently using with your 3DS.

sigh... you seem completely ignorant about what's going on. ntrboot. Look it up. If you have a compatible flash cart setup with it before you uninstall, then NOTHING will remove that way of installing b9s. But you shouldn't uninstall it anyway. I said it the first time, @Lilith Valentine said it, and now I'm saying it again. Use emunand9 from hbl (.3dsx version) to format your card. You should be good to go after that. Don't forget to UNMOUNT your current card before removing it.

Damn the slow connection. And I was wondering where the SD format menu disappeared to on Godmode9. Haven't had to use it in so long...

BUT @TheKawaiiDesu you cannot use Windows Explorer on a 64GB card. fat32 won't be an option. sdformatter or the like has to be used.

Also to answer your earlier question, no you can't get B9S back on 11.5 if you uninstall it unless you have a compatible flashcart for NTRBootHaX, or another console with CFW already.

It sounds like a format issue. Simply format it with the PC, then do a basic setup with the SD card you want to use. Just setup Luma3DS with GodMode9, then use GodMode9 to properly format the SD card

Format an SD card

1. Launch GodMode9 by holding (Start) during boot
2. Press (Home) to bring up the action menu
3. Select “More…”
4. Select “SD format menu”
5. Select any EmuNAND options you wish to use
   • Most users will want to select “No EmuNAND”
6. Select “Auto”
7. Press (A) to accept the label GM9SD
   • Optionally, you may input a custom name for the SD card
8. When prompted, input the key combo given to confirm

I reckon the only problem was not knowing how to format an SDXC as FAT32 in Windows.

This doesn't sound like an issue with the SD at all. It sounds like your files are not being read by the 3DS because the encryption on those files don't match your current 3DS's encryption key or your missing the tickets.

Take a photo with your 3DS and then check the DCIM folder on the SD card in your computer and see if the photo is there. That'll tell you if the SD card is being read and written to properly.

If all else fails, instead of messing about backup your save games with JK's Save Manager. Pop the new memory card into the 3ds and format it, download the games/homebrew, transfer the backed up save games to the new card and use the save manager to restore the save games.

On the sd card in the Nintendo folder make sure there is only folder inside that with random numbers. If you have two look in both folders the one with less files in it. Delete it and leave the bigger folder. Then see if the 3ds reads it.

That happened to me. It's worth a try.
