Try ALL of them, not nearly all? Or try Smash Stack/Indiana Pwns.. I tried all of the Bannerbombs until one finally worked on mine. Mine was stubborn too.

I can't recall, one of the ones near the bottom of the list; it was months ago. But one should work for you. Just keep trying. If you really try ALL of them and none work, I'd be a bit confused myself.

Are you sure you are going to the actual SD menu? Not going into data management like version 1 of banner bomb did? V2 works different

on my old wii, bannerbomb v2 just froze it. I had to just use the original and at worked fine. also make sure you are using it correctly. use v1 in the SD card part of the channel menu in the settings. use v2 in the SD card menu off the front page of the system menu.

That is normally only an issue with noobs, but being that you have 4 posts and he has 357 I would think it is safe to assume that he know what he is mostly doing and you wont be the messiah in this situation.

Try seeing if you are able to perform an update through nintendo and then try banner bomb, Or like someone else said, smash stack or indiana pwns exploits to get hbc installed.

I'd like to think I know what I'm doing and the first time I used the bannerbomb sd card menu version, I was confused a bit. It's not a silly question imo.

I second the different SD card approach...when working on my boss's wii the other day I couldn't get it to go into BootMii and it was all because I was using a Kodak 2GB SD card.
Popped in my personal 8GB SanDisk and it booted into it right away (silly me should have known this but it was 2 in the morning after a full day at work, switching from cars to wii's isn't very fluent

).

not really...you could use SDHC on your wii. though most homebrew apps have good compatibility with 2Gb SD.

I take it that worked then? And the size wasn't what I am referring to as far as swapping out the cards, but rather the brand. Not all SD cards are built exactly the same

EDIT: I see it did work, didn't notice the first post update :/

    heres ps4/5
emulation (it is far from playing actual games yet but its something) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qe71pCjC9U
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I thought PS4/5 and Xbox One emulation would be kind of easy since they basically just a PC
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    they sorta are a pc
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
but its a custom os for both of them
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    designed for only specific hardware
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It's a locked down Linux distro basically
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably combined in one chip
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They place married security chips onto boards iirc

Damn Frontier is offering 5Gbps now lol

I honestly can't recommend any of the big 3 this years I'd say buy a rog ally z1 if we're being honest

Honestly after the PS3 and 360 I just went full PC
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Every games basically cross platform they only have about 6 titles making it worth the $600 price tag
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Didn't see much need for a console, all the advantages have kind of disappeared
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I'm avoiding buying from the big 3 at all atm
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
nintendo needs to up their game soon
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah even bt support for Xbox one controllers are just as easy as pairing
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
considering the steamdeck can emulate the switch (yikes) theres almost 0 reason to buy the switch apart from playing online and using cartridges
