Undertale Save Converter

This tool allows you to convert your Undertale save between PC and switch version

Requirements
  • Python 3 or Python 2
For PC to Switch (By default they are stored in AppData\Local\UNDERTALE)
  • file0
  • file9
  • undertale.ini
For Switch to PC
  • undertale.sav
How to use

Put the needed files inside the folder, execute converter.py and choose your selection (1 or 2), it will make the files you need.

You can download it at: https://github.com/jonyluke/Undertale-Save-Converter

Hi! I really want to use your converter, but for some reason I cannot make it work.
I have installed Python 3.7 and I have the 4 files inside a folder, but when I clic over the "converter.py" included in your Github, it doesnt do anything.
It just appears this:

Did I miss something, or to install something?

Thanks in advance :switch:

I think the problem is that the script was not downloaded correctly, because it does not have html in any line. Could you show the code?

What 4 files? There are 3 files

Sure, but if I download it wrong, then how should I download it? I used "right-clic" and "Save as" over the file in Github. Maybe you can put an attachment here in gbatemp?

About the 4 files, I was referring to:
1. file0
2. file9
3. undertale.ini
4. converter.py

EDIT: Sorry, how stupid of me, I downloaded the file from your front web page of Github, not as a "raw" file; So thats why it has been appearing as html code... :hateit:
Anyway, thank you very much for the help and sorry again for the bother.
I hope you continue with the hard work! :yay:

One of the ways is, there is an option that says Clone or download and then download as ZIP

And where does the undertale.sav file go in the switch filesystem?

edit: nm, figured it out through checkpoint.nro

What the program does is convert the PC format to the switch format, since they are different. For example, instead of a line break, in switch, it is literally \n
thanks man i looked in to it im not a programmer at all but i figured out to convert it to a pc save file with notepad++
