Homebrew Undertale 3ds?

Holy shit. If this becomes a thing then I will be immensely happy. Although I'm wondering how the parts where the game closes down will work.
He said that it would create a real error in the program causing it to close to the homebrew launcher/home menu.

Welp, this is looking pretty promising. I've thoroughly enjoyed the UnderTale demo and really want to play the full game. A faithful 3DS recreation would be pretty neat and better than that Android release.

My only issue is how the developer of this is going to prevent piracy. Assuming the clone is accurate enough, pretty much anybody with a homebrew-capable 3DS could play the full game for free. That somewhat dodgy Android port had a way to prevent piracy, so I'm curious what he'll do here since I don't think Toby would want people playing the full game for free.

Either way, this is really looking promising.

Ok, now he's asking Toby for permission to copy his game and release it for free. You can't make this shit up. :P

If anybody's looking for a homebrew version of this game on 3ds - not gonna happen.
I think Cellenseres is just job hunting now.

Some random comes out of the woodwork and says "hey, I'm copying your game as a homebrew project, want to join me?" lol
I know Toby may be an Indie dev, but come on.
Consider this:
Toby is interested in WiiU/3DS ports
However he would need someone else to port them because he doesn't know any programming languages
The current version of the port looks pretty damn good so far
This may be exactly what toby's looking for..

Maybe, but not as a free homebrew giveaway. It's a commercial game.

The likely outcome for this is Toby will say, "um, you can copy my game as long as you don't call it Undertale or use my art assets" Then, of course, it's not Undertale anymore and hype is kill.

oh of course it wouldn't be free
i'd like to see it actually get an eshop release if possible.
i know it's a serious stretch, but still that'd be pretty sweet.

To be honest, I doubt it'd be too different from Splatoon's Miiverse community... I mean, Inkopolis Plaza is just littered with Undertale memes and fanart. If the game ever does get released on a Nintendo console, it'd give all those Undertale fans a more appropriate place to post about the game on Miiverse... and free up the plaza for more relevant artwork. Hopefully.
