Ummmm.... Ehhhh?

RPG,Action RPG,Rhythm,Kart Racing games and Platformers

The blue genres will probably be more common on PSV and the red on 3DS. Based on that I'd say 3DS as it covers a wider range of genres (both PSV ones are RPG), also at the moment the 3DS is cheaper. Not to mention it also has KH for an action-RPG (though personally I never liked the games).
How can you say? The only genre on that list that I can say for sure is platformers on the 3DS.

And 3DS has (getting) more RPGs,
  • Kingdom Hearts 3D
  • Bravely Default

The 3DS currently has more A/RPGs honestly. That's not saying much though since both systems have a terrible selection when it comes to RPGs.

Yeah... A shame really, I got my 3DS mainly for RPG's and it's been a few months now and there aren't many... Although there's a lot of them being made and some already released in Japan (which will probably never make it over here).

I'm assuming it'll follow the same steps from the PSP and the DS, although I dunno which had one had more RPG's, I know that the DS had plenty but the PSP also got plenty (although some interesting ones were never released over here).

So far the 3DS has more games and is cheaper, even the XL. It also depends on what you want... Do you want better graphics? If so you should wait a few months, maybe until Christmas and grab a Vita on discounted price (I'm sure it'll have some discount or bundle by Christmas), otherwise, you could opt for the 3DS, it has less graphics but has 3D a wider choice of games atm. When in doubt the best thing you can do is research and perhaps wait a while before making your choice, otherwise you might end up regretting whatever you buy.

I know it's the boring answer, but wait for the software to develop a little bit more. Plus, the prices are only going to lower with time.

GBATemp is the worst place to ask this question because, as you can see, there are a lot of fanboys for one system that like the bash the other. Not gonna name which or who, it should be blatantly obvious at this point.

In my opinion? Wait until both have better games then buy whichever interests you. Maybe even save up for both.

This persecution complex that so many of you have is what annoys me about GBAtemp. "OH NO, THE NINTENDO FANBOYS."

There's more people complaining about Nintendo fanboys on the temp than actual fanboys.

Someone gives an opinion with facts to backup that opinion and they get called a fanboy. It's fucking ridiculous.

There hasn't been a single suggestion in this thread that shows any sort of bias towards any company (aside from Guild's unsubstantiated opinion). Everyone bitching about fanboys including you needs to shut the hell up.

Personally, I wounld't ask which either to buy on this site for 'obvious' reasons.
I suggest waiting. Both consoles are young and at this point there aren't any 'masterpieces'.

Does anyone else think Guild and soulx should just hatefuck each other?

I'm sure the forum would be a better place for it.

Looks more like a Mario fanboy than a Nintendo fanboy, I don't see a single console there :P

Complaining that there is a bias of towards Nintendo products on a site that pretty much revolves around Nintendo products is just an uphill battle. Honestly if you are looking for a community more in favor for other products and or less bias towards a select products, then you are in the wrong place and should look towards another site. Simple as that.

Personally I would say wait and see which one has the games you want or just buy both them. I am not saying buy them both at the same time, just buy them well you can. No one is stopping you from owning both and owning both just give you the benefit of not missing out on either product.

If you want goot shooters and 16/18+ games go for the ps vita, the 3DS only has titles for small childeren(with small exceptions)
*le me is a sony fanboy :D

So far I'd say wait.

I don't have a PSVita yet, but the 3DS isn't actually that much an update compared to the original DS. Sure there are more games available, but I'd wait spending 200+ euros for a console and one game. I'm currently playing through the PSP library with my PSPGo and it's quite good. Just to make sure, in comparison, I've had a DS from 2008, a 3DS from the end of 2011 and PSP from 2011. If you have a DS, stay on that. Buying a 3DS for DS games via flashcart isn't that smart compared to buying a working DSL for a fraction of the price. Also there may be a new version of either or both consoles coming out sooner or later (3DS XL being a good example). If there was something wrong with the original design, they may fix them on the new ones :)
