Elotrolado has a compatability list too, maybe if someone can read it they can add the titles

I find that lists like that tend to be wrong, same as the triiforce one. There are no rules as to providing a crc, and if the wad is patched, tv modes, setups etc so the information is only so good. imho people should add some more rules and columns, a link to a wiirware/vc dat to verify the dumps, and some other information about setup.

I'm too bizzy/lazy just now but I'm sure others will agree and hopefully those that edit and maintain the wiki can chat with each other and get the information more precise. When triiforce was first released we had lots of people agreeing certain games wouldn't work and one or two people saying they did, in a lot of these cases they did work if the wad had not been tampered with, but the majority of people had got the same release from lots of download and torrent sites which had been patched, so for the majority it didn't work.

Anyway thought I'd add that to this thread as it seems to be relevant again.

Hi,
I have a Pal Wii (D2B) modded with Wiikey. It usually run every game, except a few ones, and for those I use USB loaders.
I have a problem with MadWorld PAL. looks like the game is 50hz only, no Pal60 mode or 480p. I use a VGA cable to connect the Wii to my PC Monitor, and it gives me a black screen, because my monitor can't display 50hz.
FYI, I have sound, it's just that the video won't show.
I tried to force video mode using USB loaders, but no success.

Any ideas? Maybe an alternative dol or something could be used?

Don't use showmiiwads to add or remove games, use uloader or you will have problems. uloader handles the shared contents differently. Anyone using this should read through the original thread on EOL as some of the bugs getting reported here have work-arounds for now, mostly the order in which you install games.

Thanks for this info. I previously thought that the StrongBad and Monkey Island series didn't work, but if I installed them in reverse order (Monkey Island eps 5 - 1, then StrongBad eps 5 - 1) they will all work. I've found that Swords & Soldiers will also work using uLoader.

Also, I've found that the games run a bit smootherusing cIOS224 (38 merge 57)

Stop telling game xy doesn't work in TriiForce when you mean they won't work from Waninkoko's nand emu.

Not "blaming you" WiiPower so no need to get on the defensive, and yes you're right it's the emu that causes them to not work in Triiforce, but my point is that for some games it only happens when the .wad has been patched. A "clean" dump works fine in Triiforce, or should I say a clean dump works with Waninkokos nand emulator (I think this would confuse people)

I would have thought you'd have better things to do than nit pick the wording of my post

My apologies - I edited the original post. I know that the reason why a handful of game do not work using triiforce is because of the cIOS and NOT because of triiforce. I'll try to be more precise when posting in the future.

I still use Triiforce for nearly all my wiiware, and only rely on uLoader for the handful of games that don't work because of the cIOS

One quick question about 4.8A.

I have a 1.5gb HDD with 3 partitions, the 1st being WBFS, 2nd NTFS and the 3rd FAT32. All my WII games are on the 1st partition and load fine.

4.8A seems to see my 1st partition but not the 3rd so can I install VC and wiiware on the FAT32 partition rather than the SD card and if so how?

Running V5 of hermes 222

Cheers

your FAT partition should be the first partition in the table for any homebrew using IOS202 to see it properly

you need to format the third partition to WBFS then copy the games across from the first WBFS partition so you dont loose them then reformat the first partition to FAT32

must be an old HDD if its only 1.5GB lol in fact did they even make them 1.5GB

LOL as old and knackered as me....cheers for the advice

so what constitutes too many? it says not to install too many wads at once lol how many would you say is too many?im thinking of going 10-15 at a time

10-15 is still too many IMO, if you restart during install it tends to mess up, and it takes bloody ages to install them. ive been installing ~300 wads, and its been doing that over the past 48 hours and still has about 50 left to do. So when i say slow, i mean sssssllllooooowwwww.......

I have a note concerning RB2 DLC.
It seems that only the 1st gen DLC is being copied to the USB NAND from real NAND inside Uloader.
I've downloaded some 2nd and 3rd gen songs after deleting all other DLC from the nand.
Uloader is saying there's no DLC to be found though.

Currently dumping my nand to see if i can fiddle with this to get it working.
Has anyone else had this?

X

EDIT: Manually copying tickets, title tmd's and .apps to the correct folders on the usb nand seems to work just fine

well compatibility still seems low, arkanoid plus won't load, just black screens trying like every ios version, but worked in triiforce, i really hope hermes gets it working abit better.

edit: yeah no way that games gonna work shucks its one of my favs
tongue.gif
but all my other games work so far, plus return to wii menu works on vc games
biggrin.gif
so guess i'll stick with uloader for now

edit 2:Scuba maybe your drives slow? were you using port1 or port0? cause i did 15 at a time and it only took about 5 mins each time to do 15. Which isnt long at all

Arkanoid Plus works perfectly for me

I used this new version as an excuse to change from WBFS to Fat. Uloader recognizes the drive and I am able to load games but I am unable to rip games. It doesn't crash or anything, I'm just unable to select the option in the manu. Is this normal?

did you install the dlc as well? ntsc-u or pal? cause ive installed it many many times and it just wont load, also what ios are you using? (not 222 or w.e. i mean what ios did you choose when installing) skip boot or no? lol sorry about all the questions just really want it to work

Without the dlc, pal, I didn't choose any options when installing it, I simply put it in the SD:nand/install folder and uloader did it automatically. The standard setting worked for me while loading it (cios 222, no skip boot, auto video and default language)

Do any other vc/wiiware games work for you?

well so far they all work except arkanoid, i guess i'll try some more, maybe try a pal copy, force ntsc.
