I'm having a problem playing Twilight Princess. When I start the game, the intro plays fine....it says "press A+B to begin" or something like that. I press A+B, and the screen goes black.

I have searched everywhere for a solution. I came up with a lot of threads about similar problems, but I can't seem to get anything to work for me. I was using IOS249 (r21)...I downgraded to IOS249 (r17) because I think that is where I was the last time I played this game. I got the same result. I tried to load it up using IOS222 and I get the same results. I have tried force NTSC, several different USB loaders...I'm not sure what else to try. I downloaded a new version of the game thinking that the game ISO may be corrupt. That one doesn't load at all... I do own this game, but my kids left it at my parents house, so I haven't been able to test the CD to see if that works. I can try that later this week if I can't get this to work.

My Wii is at 4.2U.

Use ModMii to install 249d2x56 and make sure you are using the latest version of Configurable USB Loader. This should solve your problems. If not, run sysCheck and paste the results here.

Thans for replying Lacius. I tried your suggestion installing 249d2x56, and I'm still getting the same result. Here is the output of the syscheck. Do you see anything wrong?

You must have has cIOS corp or darkcorp installed previously.

Run the ModMii wizard again and tell it that your wii is a virgin. Make sure you follow all of the steps exactly to a T.

OK, I ran the ModMii wizard, and followed all of the instructions, but I still get the same result for that game. I'll get the game disc tomorrow and try to reload it.
