Tv won't go pass 480p

Tv won't go pass 480p screen and quality look terrible. I go in stock mode on Switch but same issues. I go to the option of 720p if i go out of dock mode then put it in dock click 720p but looks the same I load a game thinking it meant be just the dashboard that 480p but and it looks terrible. Switch iteslf looks fine not in dock though. I am using a first party dock. When I run a xbox one it goes to 1080p and looks great. I am thinking maybe a tv setting or worse case use another tv.

Did you try different hdmi cable? Different hdmi port on tv?

Maybe your Switch has its TV output mode set to 480p instead of automatic :

stock mode goes to 720p 1080p on stock firmware. I'm going to try to make a brand new card formated and all. See how that goes.
